A friend of mine in america was asking me about chimo (aka ambil but i call it chimo) production the other day. He had cut up the fresh leaves of 2 largish rusticas (nearly a metre tall!!!) and put them on the boil. The kitchen in his house is apparently quite small so all the windows fogged up with steam. He said that while sitting in the room with the boiling pot of leaves that he didn't once feel like a dip (chewing tobacco is common where he lives). He asked me whether it would be harmful for a person to be sitting in the room with all the fumes. I said it would be sweet but then i looked on the net and found a little info on nicotine purification. People have tried to purify nicotine from tobacco via distillation. Whilst its not very effecient it does actually work so i ask on his behalf whether or not it would be harmful for someone to be breathing all those fumes in? Especially a non-smoker. On another note, it would seem from my research of snus that chimo would also be better for someone than smoking and commercially available chewing tobacco as it would contain smaller amounts of tobacco specific nitrosamines (tsna). TSNA's are made during curing so if one were to make chimo from fresh leaves the resulting chimo would be way better for you than smoking. UNfortunately i can't seem to find anywhere that sells it. Would it be legal for him to send me some that he has made if labelled as a tobacco product? Or do tobacco products have to be made by big tobacco companies? It wouldn't weigh very much so the tax wouldn't be that bad... I just don't want hassles from customs. I remember years ago there used to be a bit of talk of chimo but not so much anymore.

I bought some snus the other day and recieved it today. Upon opening the snus can i was met with a strong odour of ammonia. It instantly reminded me of cleaing stables when i was a kid. I was reluctant to put the stuff in my mouth but once i did i discovered that it tasted nothing like it smells, a very good thing! THe taste is hard to describe but it certainly doesn't taste like getting some smoking tobacco in your mouth. It is salty and slightly sweet. It burns a little when it is placed in the lip but that quickly goes away. It is a nice burn though as it corresponds witht the feeling of nicotine coursing through my veins. THe feeling is instant and feels like a smoking a cig and although not as intense, the nic hit certainly lasts longer. If more nicotine is required i just adjust the little quid in my mouth until i feel the burn again. As for price, fantastic. I was chewing nicotine gum before this and it was costing me $30 for 96 pieces of 4mg gum. THis gives me 384mg in toal. THe snus i bought is the strongest one on the website i bought it from at 17mg/g. THere's 45g in a tin so i get 765mg. A tin of snus costs me a whopping $4!!! THe snus effect is also way better than the gum as the dose is more easily managed. I could never quite get it right with the gum as sometimes it takes awhile to get to the peak and sometimes it doesn't. So i'd be chewing a few pieces not getting where i wanted to be and then suddenly i;d realise that i'd way overshot my dose and feel like throwing up. Other times i;d be chewing a few pieces and it wouldn't be doing anything at all. Also the gum made me salivate profusely so i;d be constantly spitting, snus doesn not have that effect on me. If you are a smoker and don;t want to be then i would strongly urge that you check out snus. Make sure you buy swedish snus as it is alot lower in Tobacco Specific Nitroasamines than all other forms of tobacco from my understanding. Initially i ordered some american snus but after doing some research i realised that it is just as bad for you as smoking. Instead of getting lung cancer you get mouth cancer, hurrah! After reading that i was disheartened but then i discovered that swedish snus is cured in a diffrent way and contains very little nitrosamines and as such is less harmful. So check it out!

Whilst going down a youtube wormhole i found a video about a free energy generator. THe first video i found mentioned a company called "magniworks", i searched that then found a video about 2 aussie guys who have invented the technology, magniwork seems to be a compnay that has rorted the idea and decided to sell the plans. Anyway i eventually found the website for the inventors ( www.lutec.com.au ). On the website they claim that if you put 100W in then you will get 440W out. I am quite sceptical of this but if it works then that would be great. I'm sceptical because 1. If it works then surely everyone would have one in their home 2. The device was invented in 2008 as far as i can tell so surely this would be ground=breaking news 3. physics. Whilst i don't know much about the subject i do remember from science class that it is impossible to put energy into a system and then get more out. 4. These guys are still alive. Oil and power companies have been shown to be ruthless in the past so knocking off 2 guys that are going to send them broke wouldn't be too hard to arrange. I did a search on here and couldn't find any info about it so i'm presuming the info hasn't been posted here before. If this invention is for real, fantastic. i'll get 2 of them, start the first with a battery, plug the first into the second and then the second into the first and skim all the excess energy. HURRAH!!

If the shoot has a little root on it you will greatly increaseyour chances of strike. Calea responds well to layering, so bury a few of the lower branches, but not the tips. Keep the ground moist and in a month or two you will have a heaps of plants.

Thundeideal, i saw an article where it said 2 guys got caught with $60,000 worth of drugs in the NT and later in the article it was revealed the drugs were kava (60kg). Can' remember specific amount but it was valued at around $1000/kg(by the cops) TGA kava fact sheet It says here that only preparations are restricted so growing it should be sweet. You could ring the DPI, they may even have some helpful hints on growing it. I have no idea about whether you could sell your product or not but i'm pretty sure you can still grow it. Other, similar looking, piper species are very easy to grow with a little water so maybe just put them in. kava takes a few years to be ready for harvest so i'm sure by then that the government will have realised the error of their ways and lifted current restrictions. Especially if UQ is already doing trials on it. If the restrictions haven't been lifted, pack the panels of your car and drive to NT, apparently its going for a thousand a kilo since prohibition! What a joke! They'd rather the communities get pissed and bash/rape each other than them getting kava's and fall asleep. I lived in a house that was half finished a few years ago and we would have rats coming inside all the time, especially in winter. I bought a slingshot/shanghai and killed all of them except for one, he/she was way too smart. That rat would look at me from the beams, mocking me. We had a carpet snake that moved in as well, would curl up around the hot water pipes above the sink, but after a few weeks of me getting my slingshot she left, there was nothing left for her to eat. Sharx- rustica spray will kill most bugs on your plants, if not all. This is not an ideal soltuion however as the rustica will kill all your predators as well. If you've got a heavy infestation of anything (which means the good bugs are being lazy anyway) and you really want to save your plants then rustica spray is the go. to make some up grab a leaf or two, chop up and let it sit in some hot water overnight. Strain the leaves out, being careful not to get any fluid on your skin, put in a spray bottle and off you go. When i;ve used it i've added a little natural soap to make it a little 'sticky'. Best to use the mix fresh as it goes off quickly i'd imagine. Probably be a good idea to wash veges before you eat them if you've sprayed them in the last week or so. If you plant a few rusticas they'll self seed and you'll always have pesticide on hand. I was reading about this stuff called BLACKLEAF40 which is 40% nicotine sulfate. Apparently the bugs haven't built any tolerance to it in 40-50 years of continous use. I read this on one website so it may not be true however whenever i've used it its worked a charm.

If you lay down thick plastic or weed mattting with woodchip mulch on top before you setup the greenhouse you will have less issues with weeds underneath you benches. Weeds will flourish if do nothing to prevent their growth as they take advantage of all the 'secondhand' love (water) and attention (fertilizers) that you afford your plants. Woodchip mulch probably isn't necessary but it is nicer to walk on, and less muddy. An irrigation system hooked up to a hose timer would be incredibly easy to setup and pretty cheap too. Irrigation systems are not as good as you watering them as some spots will get more (or less) water than others so make sure you pop your head in whenever you can. If you want to add fertigation tech it will get more expensive. How long are you planning on going away from your plants? If it is only a few weeks you should think about slow release pellets as that will tide them over. If it is a few months at a time you may need to look at fertigation, or just apply more slow release fert pellets before you go away. I got one of these greenhouses for chrissy too, well i am getting one, hasn't turned up yet. Doesn't look heaps stable but i reckon if i bulk up the support structure it should be alright.

Thanks artdplmr- this has solved a mystery for me. A friend that worked at startbucks on the gold coast years ago said arab guys would come in and smoke these little pipes of this green stuff. ONe of the guys left a pipe behind once so my mate kept it.(actually now that i've thought about it for a little i think the pipes were disposable, they'd leave them there all the time) He showed it to me and i have wondered for years what it was. I had forgotten about it but then after looking up on wiki just then it seems it was a Midwakh pipe, which would mean that (hopefully) dokha is available in australia, or in the gold coast at least. My friend said that guys would smoke these all the time, so it must be a pretty common habit. I wouldn't mind trying a bit.

From what i can gather most of the material to be banned would be considered "subversive" in some way by conservatives. So not a lot of "mums and dads" will want to stand up and counted having to say "i want to watch real porn", "i want to know how to bang up and not destroy my veins", "i want to know ways of killing myself when i'm too old to care anymore". People do not want other people to know what they do in the privacy of their own homes out of fear of being ostracized from their family and friends. And for this reason alot of people will pretend not to care as "they're not doing anything wrong so they have nothing to fear". So optus is doing the trial. This explains a lot. I have wondered for a very long time why my interent is sooo shit. It just stops sometimes and won't download anything. Sometimes it disconnects for no reason. My god it is the worst internet since dialup. I thought it was just my internet but i went to a mates house with optus and his is the same. So them saying it doesn't affect internet speed is a blatant lie, unless optus is just shit anyway? I've been thinking about changing providers for a long time (because of the service being so bad) but now i def will, i don't want to support a company that supports censorship.

Hey HUtch, maybe your friend is building their tolerance by accident. I'm not sure whether you can become tolerant to lsa as quickly as l sd but it is a thought. If it does then the 500 seed dose would not be that much stronger than the 250 seed dose if consumned withuin a few days of each other... Was the second dose consumned within the same week as the first dose? And what do your morning glory seeds look like? I;ve seen 2 types of seed that looked completely different being sold as ipomoea violacea "heavenly blue". ONe type of seed was kind of triangular and the other type of seed was smaller and roundish. The flowers from the small roundish seed looked different (and not as pretty) as the triangular "heavenly blue".

Read the book. I'm pretty sure its in there. Its not like he got off scot free. He'd been in jail for 18 months before hte trial so that counts as 'time-served'. I think the other reason he got off lightly was because the plants were so small the material was unusable for testing when he requested that they be proven to be cannabis. Also the commmunity got behind him a fair bit too. Get the book, its a pretty good story.

HI Atlas, you may be having poor germination because its the wrong time of the year to start poppies. Usually they are started between april-july. Poppies are a long day flowering plant, the exact opposite to cannabis. So poppies need short days to grow and long days to flower.

Hi Atlas, termites need to be stopped by a physical barrier or by poison. Because i have never used the poison the only option i can present to you is making a physical barrier. Put the plants in separate pots to prevent cross contamination and then place the pots on some bricks. Keep all dirt away from the bricks as the little bastards will make dirt tunnels up to the pots. Termites are attracted to water, and need to drink every day, so by watering plants you are attracting the termites. I think there is some kind of posion trap that you can buy but i don't know how quickly they work. good luck

Just reading your last post andy fills me with the fear. I really wish the best for you and hope you make it to the other side. Is it possible to take naltrexone tablets for a little while before the implant goes in? I have a friend who is clean now but had been on heroin and methadone for 30years. She took some naltrexone when she was off the gear, she was planning on taking them whenever she had a craving so she wouldn't slip up, anyway it made her really really ill. Even though she was comploetely clean. It would be horrible for you to have a bad reaction to it and think it was the methadone WDs so push through the pain unnecessarily. What are you having the implant for? Is it so you can't slip up? Or is it to grow more opiate receptors? I hope it goes well for you, if you could update your progress i would be very interested in reading it. And exercise, easier said then done but it does help. THe harder you can slog yourself the better, you may even get some sleep at night. And chiral, a doctor once told me that opiate from most addictiveness to least was as follows. Bupe/methadone, codiene (1000mg+ a day), morphine, heroin. I thought it quite interesting that he would say that high dose codiene is comparable to methadone WDs. MOst people i have talked to who have been into detox units say that alcohol is the most common drug that people are in for. Like 80% alcos, 20% everything else! What surprises me about the above article is that they say that alcohol has only topped Odyssey House's list for the last three year. Maybe they primarily take people going into the "merit" program (drug addicts get a choice of jail or rehab at court) and thus have a higher rate of illicit drug addicts coming through.
