  1. Hey crew : ) Have been playing texas holdem for years but im trying to get myself motivated to have a little tickle at becoming a good player as a hobby and to win/place in a few. I use pokerstars. Its not really my playing thats the issue i feel fairly comfortable with that, seems i am a bit nieve in not understanding the HUGE amount of allowable legal software to help you as a player. Simply all i really need is a simple program, one that gives percentages of opening hand, other player open cards and the flop etc. I downloaded pokertracker but its doing my head in, finding it way to complicated. In no way do i want to cheat, i hear players do automated bots and all kinds of funky stuff that gets them booted off permanantly. Pokerstars does allow programs so long as they are legit to run side by side, but everywhere i turn and eveything i try is not really working. Can anybody recommend or have any tips in regard to assisting general tournament play with assisted programs that are relatively simple to use and even if you have anything to say along the same lines thats interesting please go for it. Cheers.
  2. i hate to admit it qualia but yeh life is mostly about money, there is a fine line in life between want and need. wanting to be an engineer and keeping a roof over your familys head for example are two different paths, i too have dreams but before dreams i take care of reality first.

40 Outrageous Facts Most People Don't Know...

reminds me of 1984 by orwell.
  4. you make an interesting point GOT. considering from a marketing point of view the longer you can make someone stay generally the more they pay, it would be of interest to keep people in lines longer as they will buy those cute lollies to keep the kids quiet and those stategically placed dollar goods on special like twisties. people are gonna complain no matter what so why not use the line to your advantage. i dont think this is the direct purpose but indirectly i think it adds millions to the bottom line. good luck to university graduates i say, but the truth is only about 5% eventually make it into their chosen vocation, and then when they do they better be damned sure they want that for life otherwise they have wasted time and money, i personally think the current university, tafe whatever its called heirachy is a complete and utter financial scam. put it this way, when i said i worked at the DC, they were actually very high employers of migrants especially africans, i love the fact that when i worked at the DC many of these africans without an an education without any experience, from really bad situations at home many times worse than you can imagine, started packing a few boxes and moved on to the fork in a few months, and with an amazing smile on thier faces worked overtime whenever they wanted, pretty much had money on a tap and most of the hard working ones who were glad just to be in australia and alive and could not believe that by simply working a public holiday, for 12 hours if they wanted to...they would get nearly $75 bucks an hour. personally i think alot of uni graduates can only dream of that, for the 4 years it takes to get the university degree...someone with no experience at all and no qualifications, not even born in this country will be $350K up on you already...truth.
  5. ah its not all bad, im looking forward to having a robot wife to look after me when i get older. i suppose if people want to steal which is the core subject here then good luck to them, each system has its weaknesses and strengths and life adapts either way. me personally if i was going to have a criminal record i would shiver at the thought of having stealing from an automated checkout on my card, not that having any criminal record is good, but theft and petty theft at that from a supermarket would have to be the worst in the lamest kind of way to become a crim.
  6. psylo im pretty sure the prices are sorted way before they even get to the DC, the suburban stores themselves have no say whatsoever on pricing they just recieve the already costed stock, pop it onto the shelves as fast as they can and pop it through the checkout. the efficiency in the whole process is astronomical thats why if you look at old pamphlets the prices are cheaper today than 10 years ago in alot of normal goods. i dont know exactly how the pricing works but i would hazard a guess the pricing of the products is sorted 5 stages before the DC, mayby even before the stuff is bought initially, im not really sure the pricing was not really something a normal DC staffer gets privvy to, but having been one for 3 years previously, sweated through thousands of picks on the llop, forked, reverse logistics, chiller and freezer and recieving i cant say i understand pricing but i do understand the undercurrent process fairly well.
  7. the stores have little to do with pricing they are just the final extension of the logistics, the main costs come from logistics ie actually getting it onto the shelves first and paramount, all the money is made before it gets onto the shelf, of course people have to actually buy it but they cant buy it unless it actually gets onto the shelf, the stores themself and those shop employees are really just an afterthought, they pay shop assistants about $30 and hour if lucky on a public holiday but the DC box packer $70+ on the same day. buying in massive volume and sorting it out efficiently logistic wise is the real money earner, not the checkouts.
  8. I will take your advice kindly and try to use better grammar. I use the .... to create a pause but i will try limit that as its lazy. It was wrong of me anyway to make a stupid, no meaning comment of which you are 100% correct that i really understand very little of and i apologise for that. Serve's me right for jumping in on a conversation trying to be smart but i really appreciate you in the following regard.

    how old is too old?

hydrochloric acid is there in your belly for a purpose, ancient man if you believe in science was an opportunistic herbivore that possibly turned into a more carniverous omnivore, basically he would scavenge whatever was left over from the lion kill. bear grylls is not the most excellent role model i know but he is pretty much the only dude to really demonstrate to an average audience besides army dudes that you can eat pretty much anything, as humans we are pretty much the ultimate opportunistic omnivore. if shit hits the fan im going to have no problem eating as many bugs as i can find but i am in training at the moment eating as much stale scraps as i can when the situation arises, stale cheese is fine...i would stay away from mould if possible, unless starving to death though but i still think you would be fine. hydrochloric acid is our best friend.
  14. One for the night owls or just the curious reader. The context is recent, the insight into law/s is relative in Australia, done in March 2012 so not really dated. I was a few pages in and really enjoying it so just thought i would post it before i forgot, i hope it provides a resource for those that are interested....anyway back to page 3 for me. http://www.ndlerf.gov.au/pub/Monograph_40.pdf

    Romney is 'yesterday's news'

do you know the ink blot test, where its basically nothing but everybody reads something into it much like the shape of clouds....but what you read into it really dictates what is inside of you, well i rest my case. as i said obama/romney tomato tamato...romney looks like a steriotypical hollywood president, is it my fault that thousands of people probably millions notice the same thing, its been well reported...must be the slicked side part hair and grey side style hair 6 foot atypical suit and look, this has been well documented on many news shows. i couldnt care who wins, i couldnt care if china or middle east rule the world, i couldnt care if my best buddy was spanish, disabled, black, white or gay, i couldnt care less who the president of the USA is, however i believe Romney will win, shoot me. keep the politics and ludicrous history and tea party crap to yourself, no wonder normal people have to refrain from normal dinner table conversation when the people have such extemist views on life they actually have no knowledge of and no control of. cant wait to see the pile of crap turn into a pile of shit when gillard and abbott come along. over and out of politics permanently.

    Romney is 'yesterday's news'

can you please quote me where i mentioned anything to do with skin colour, by cast its pretty self evident in the post where only a few world before i mentioned "actor" cast is cast as in hollywood type casting not skin colour, and i never mentioned anything about urban, as a matter of fact i said obama had a powerful voice, there was nothing about race or creed or urban etc etc, now your on about con artists and murder gees man settle down. its funny how your sick of bringing race into the discussion when your the one that brought it in.

    Romney is 'yesterday's news'

dionysus, how can i reply to your statement when i dont know what you find wrong with my statement besides not agreeing with my statement, if i believe that romney looks the man and you find that abhorrent, then in reply because your talking in riddles who the do you "imagine to be the leader of the world" ? jabez you live in a dreamworld brother, i may be a self proclaimed dumbass in reply to being called a dumbass by being mistakenly misquoted as condoning legal drugs by the leader of this site when in fact i never said such a thing but your conspiricy theorist ways are starting to get a bit worn out and tired and you should probably stick to what you know best, which is a mystery to me? i think its funny how people get so worked up over politics when they know the least about it, this is how wars start jabez...from people like you who like to inflame other people opinions. did i say anything in my post that was directed at anybody else but anything else as my own personal comment, i expect critisism but i dont expect insults...work on your manners brother.
  19. no i find the chaser moronic whitewind. the vodka shooter in the eyball is old news. that was done 40 years ago i have heard from my folks. its just a fad...im sure you will get over it soon enough. never done it myself but faced with the choice i would do a vodka shooter eyeball style anyday over a shamans dust/puff a4-ddmy whatever the kids are chasing these days, im actually disgusted by the legal high industry...lets get that straight. even if i did shoot vodka up my bum.....is that ok with you, or do i need to get a whitewind permit first. what do you think as a whole about things going up bums....seems you have a little issue there mate. why would i be on channel 7 reporting about SAB, i have been part of this community for a few years and im proud of that fact, i have met and are friends with people on this forum so whats your point. in regards to your point...i saw the outcry a few months back here about the today tonight story, i live in WA and we never saw the story, never heard anything more about it but a demanding type letter to the government from greg kasarik that was posted, of course even though i replied to torsten directly in this thread doesnt mean i wish him bad in regards to today tonight, he is a big boy and as a part of this community i also too have a vested interest in this community. so i dont know what your point is besides trying to gain some brownie points for whatever you believe is your truth. good luck with that. i rarely visit you tube and certainly never twitter, i dont know what your looking at im afraid.
  20. you come across as having a vested interest in the industry a bit too much torsten, i may be a dumbass but i sleep well at night. besides that kneejerk return of mine...you do notice i said in my dumbass post..............DO NOT do legal drugs, your clearly mentioning dealing with results of dealing with people screwed up on legal drugs. where did i ever say do legal drugs, so clearly your in the wrong here but thats ok dude i wont hold it agains you, im sure your not a dumbass. albeit very immature of me to be condoning vodka eyeball shooters but i think millions of hospitalisations occured before i was born from alcohol experimentations so a random comment from a random guy on an obscure website wont really change or effect the world radically i think, anyway it was a joke......eyeball, see, vodka....see what you get, nevermind.

    Romney is 'yesterday's news'

I personally dont care either way, nor does the majority of the world..the US is trapped in its own importance. I recently read Obamas book " Dreams of my father" whilst it was done way before he was president it really is a crap book. His dreaming, drawling stream on consciousness was really sad to read and whilst it showed essentially he is a nice human being, my opinion is that he is a little wishy washy and weak inside. On the outside he is charming and has a powerful voice and speaks well but it all comes across as a bit actorish and fake to me. It wouldnt suprise me if he was actually an actor. Thats the worst i can say, and if he stays well....the world will still be the same place and he will be universally liked, but i dont think he will be a great person in the annals of history. Via straight looks and being a purposfully shallow statement, Romney looks the man to me. Whist Obama sounds like a leader, Romney looks like the most perfectly cast President i have ever seen. He looks like the ruler of the world, but he doesnt come across as pretentious and totalitarian. I like him just from what i have seen. If he is mormon and rich and backflips and has views on abortion etc etc.....good luck to him. Its a free world. I think Romney will win and i think he will go down in history as the man who rebuilt The USA.

phyllode it said that folias was dead, im assuming he probably wont get the chance to argue with you again if thats the case. folias is dead? omg when did that happen none of my biz but thats sad news indeed if true : ( mindperformer sorry bro i didnt mean to come across ego wise, i admire your passion and your an asset to the community. of course though sometimes critism is necessary. without it we would all be nodding our heads in agreement and that only confirm conformity, which is ok but you and i know conformity is not always the best space to be. mythological farce means that alot of people hear of DMT and think its the be all end all follow the yellow brick road to the true answer type drug, im saying that the yellow brick road sometimes leads to the dragon in the cave not always the be all end all answer, its true DMT can do wonderful things but i believe 99% of people are not ready for DMT but 99% of travellers want it. the truth is somewhere in between. personally i think DMT is a dangerous path for humanity to explore, but best leave it to the random neil armstongs among us who mayby are lucky enough to be able to handle walking on the moon as a metaphorical scoping statement. besides the imiginary babble though, if i was going to critique you for this thread the one thing that irks me is the title, yes i understand in global terms it is mayby, mayby an endangered species, as in the habitat is only a hundred thousand square kms, but the argument that acuminata is not global, would be akin to arguing that kangaroos are endangered in Spain, isnt that the way the world meant it to be and if you released acuminata into the amazon jungle for example then it would become a weed, type introduced pest. mayby its only in such a small part of the earth for a given reason, that its only meant to be which generally is the fundametal argument of spirituallity and shaminism in the first place. besides that keep up the good work mindperformer.

    Acacia acuminata

you do know about few million if not billion acuminatas are within 400km of australias most windy city mindperformer which have probably about a trillion seeds to be collected at any given time, and that even if when or if some well wishing psychonaught decides to ring bark if he is stupid enough not to collect the multiple thousands of kilograms of dead firewood left lying literally everywhere...and then he actually has the nous to extract this mythological farce that is called DMT, only to find out that DMT is not the answer they were looking for. acacia acuminata is not and will never be an endagered species.
  24. the perfect storm.....well for channel 7 it is anyway for viewer ratings, go Denham Hitchcock do our country proud and Koshy as always i admire how a lame pleb like you gives me hope everyday that i can make it too, if you can anybody can. notice how no USA members give a shit, if you can live through the bush presidents, NWA and Public Enemy, Pearl Harbour, Hiroshima, WW1, WW2, Cold War, star wars, mcdonalds, Michael Jackson, waco, elvis presley and the twin towers conspiricy and the movie "twister" then the so called perfect storm must be a walk in the park for the yanks.
