  1. Ok,this time next week I will be there sitting by the campfire.

    But we need a plan.

My plan is to get there early Sat morn and hunt all day,I then thought we could meet prolly at the G spot like at 2 or 3 and all go and camp somewhere.

There is no phone reception anywhere so communication on the day is out.

If incog is coming in the middle of the night then it needs to be somewhere easy to find and determined before the day.

Can we get a rough numbers count,it is a great help if everybody brings 1 bag of firewood or does somebody have a chainsaw.

Toby...chime in bro,you going, what time and where. Are we going to firm up this fishing spot,or stay in the forest.

Mr Sunrise are you still coming....Watertrade,any from Canberra?

Marcel what is your plan you big hairy dude.

Ive driven around that forest lookin for SABers and it is a nightmare,so lets make it easy for all especially the new comers.

Like I said my calender is free for a month. Im ready NOW

    I'll go to both.

Forward scouts reports in 2 weeks please.

  4. Well I had a 303 and I think they are fun.Worth more than 100, will be desirable retro kit maybe one day.

I remember back in the day I had a 909 and 808 ,sold em for a song and now they are collectors items.

I have a 505 and use it as backing noise,I reckon they are great for making drones and layered soup of sound.

Great to have tactile real controls.

Mutate the sounds and improvise....just great. 303 can do that fine.

    thats my five bobs worth.

  5. Well,

I am fully up for a pre camping scout .

20 days is the weekend of the 17th

The weekend of the 24th should be guaranteed.

My calender is totally cleared for sub season.

Happy to give anyone a lift from say Parramatta to explore on any one of those Saturdays.

Or meet in a convoy somewhere.

Or meet up at the g spot.

    PM me

So are we going to make the camp the easter weekend, or leave it in the air till we get season reports.

  6. Thank you all,

still typing after a few whiskies.

Had a great day, seen a lot of Cactus.

  8. My dear fellow Aquarian.

I hope you had a great birthday doof this weekend.

I am always looking forward to the next time we can catch up.

You are the salt of the earth and one of the most beautiful spirits to be around.

    I love you bro.

    The Hawk.

  9. Im fully impressed

    Thanks so much for sharing.

Blows my theory that they flower when stressed, that vine is happy and free.

I hope it seeds and many more Caapi's are "born"

    Tropical weather is the go.

That plant is going to love you back big time.!

  10. Hey centipede

The glass is really tricky to photograph but this will give u an idea.

The clear glass has a fossilised plant print on it,so subtle.

The fancy coloured glass at the top that was cut into shards cost me heaps.

The snakes are black from the inside but this holographic rainbow shit on the outer side.

    It is painstaking work.

  12. I have a 10yo acacia confusa, and the phylodes would make a wicked brew with some caapi if that was a legal thing to do.Yes I have heard and had it confirmed from an expert that the root bark is some wicked self activating new alkaloid but I would never hurt my trees root system.

Do a search, there was a discussion about Acacia confusa.

  13. Dear Nabraxas,

I hope sharing your story with the open hearted people on this forum,a virtual family ,has helped you process the start of this new journey out of this darkness.

So vivid are the images from this story I visualised the whole thing and experienced a fraction of the sorrow you must be feeling.

You have shown great strength to go thru another cultures funeral practice, though it does sound more tactile than our sterile system.I am sure she was a unique woman to have a unique farewell.

Stay strong brother, there is a lot of energy supporting you here.

    Col.

  14. Unopened Whiskey is static it does not improve nor degrade. It will keep for donkeys years

Whiskey only matures when in wood.

Kept in a cool place and resonably well sealed an open bottle can last a while a year or two

Some do oxidise if opened a lot.

For instance I have had a top shelf whiskey in an old pub that has sat there for ages

cause its too pricey or not popular and it tastes like shit as it is oxidised.

Also, cause a lot of pubs expect people to add a mixer they refill top shelf with shite and expect people

not to notice,,,,this gives malts a bad rep.

Its worth it to buy a nice bottle every now and then and savor it.

It may taste different each time you taste it.

A good whiskey should be a geological fingerprint of the area it is produced in.

    The local spring water

The ancient molecules from the local peat

The new produce from the barley The local air and microclimate for the maturation.

For example the Islay malts have the iodine taste from the salt air, that literally blows thru the casks.

It needs to be nosed first to get the taste buds prepared.

    Cheers anyhow.

  16. Hey Alice I worked it out.

The only part flowering was on a branch of the host tree that broke off 6 mths ago.

Prolly grew on that branch for 9yrs.

This has put that strand of vine under duress and so it has flowered as a survival instinct.

It must think...as Caapis do...that just in case the whole host tree is buggered

    I better throw some seed.

The rest is in full on regrowth.

So happy caapies dont flower, just the parts in peril.

    Thats my current theory.

  17. Thanks Planthelper

In 10yrs haunting this forum I cant remember seeing Caapi flower.

If all goes well I should have a fair few seeds.

I am a firm believer that Caapi has an adgenda to make itself unextinctable.

All mankind must always have the Aya resource.

My plant is very special, and we have that symbiotic relationship.

So I am sure it wants to prove that theory true.

Maybe offering Caapi seed will be a good way of getting people to show up at our Central Coast meets....LOL

  18. Well after 10 years my beloved Caapi is finally flowering.

    Pretty little mauve flowers.

Yeah,I know I could look up the answers to my questions, but I like the personal touch

    of asking my planthead bros.

So....Tell me its not one of those plants that flowers and dies.

Can it pollinate itself or being stand alone will the seed be infertile.

At what stage should I collect the seed....what should I look for....

if they fall on the ground I will never find them.

How long should I wait till I plant the seed...should they fully dry out or anything like that.

    General advise please guys.

    All assistance apreciated.
