You`ve done well, thankyou

The article was about plants and animals having a cell that allowed them over time to adapt to an environment with radiation and human beings did not have this cell. As you know people that live in a area with radiation, because of sentimental attachment, do not fair very well and probably never will. This will and has happened again and it seems a hefty price to pay to educate ourselves about radiation.

Help please: Bridgesii - Corking, sunburn or disease?
Wood Chuck replied to Dasein's topic in Cacti & Succulents
What Halcyon Daze said, plus try spaying whole cactus with Yates Zaleton (Bunnings) twice in a week. Look in that week for any increase in spots or yellowing, if so surgery may be required, no matter how much it hurts. Their wasn`t any spots on the crown that I could see, this is to be avoided and will eventually turn yellow and can cause the cactuses demise. Bridgesii seem to be more prone to this problem, where as some other tricho`s manage to fight it off without the need of a fungicide. -
Thankyou Inyan, have seen the question about Magic Mushrooms and depression many times, mostly answered in the negative, often by people with no real idea. Uncontrol able stress I think is responsible for many health problems, one of them being depression. European research shows that stress changes the activity of the amygdala, causes vascular inflammation and changes blood cells in bone marrow. This is not accepted in the Australian medical profession, as hard evidence is required and studies were classed as to small. Measurements of stress levels, dosage of psilocybin and size of study is a barrier to it being accepted here. I have no knowledge of any studies being done in Australia, that are presented to the medical profession and I might know that it helps with depression, but the right data is a recipe that is needed for it to be accepted.

Use to live close to the sea (20 meters) which had a sea mist/haze and got into a habit of not using scoria as a top dressing, because I was worried about the scoria absorbing salt. Have used scoria sparsely in potting mix for the propose of retaining some moisture in very sandy soil, without any problems. Apparently red scoria alters the PH level of the soil, as I do not use it any more, I have not checked this This seems as good a place as any to tell a bit about myself. My age is probably classed as mature, am physically and mentally challenged and live accordingly, my main interest in cactus and succulents. Am open to educating myself and others and pleased to be here. Cheers
