New Federal Medical Cannabis Laws Introduced Today!
Zedo replied to Yeti101's topic in News & Notices
Yep. It's all gonna be shit GMO stuff that will probably cause more harm than good. -
In my experience, they take ages of you just plant them. I gently crack the seed and soak it in water for a day at least. You can actually start seeing it pop it's head out after this. Then plant em inch deep. Only took a week to see them come up then. I had a few I chucked in the garden for novelty. I think it took about 6 weeks to shoot up. Then a bush turkey dug it out.

I did a mix of succulent dirt x perlite x vermilucite x sand

Made a stacking system for the trays. 2 trays in so far. Bottom one is a lucky dip of succs and lythops I bought off eBay lol. Second one has some Trichs and lophs. Still have plenty of room for more.

Yeah just Perspex. Real glass is heavy.

Just chop one off and reverse it lol

I gotta decide where to put it first. But yeah I'll shade it up a bit where needed

So... Took me a while. Life commitments, unexpected events, shitty weather... But it's done. And now this week I gotta get everything in and started. Behold - My mini greenhouse.

I thought I'd share something I do with my plants. More so the hotter it gets. But as the days get longer and hotter I'm starting now. I soak my plants. Bought a big bucket from Bunnings and put a plant in and fill it up with some seasol and water. Let it soak until it won't soak no more. I just find some pots dry out too much and when I water then the water just falls through them. This rehydrated the soil, and the plants go crazy. When I did it to my partners Rosemary bush it tripled in size in a month. Oh and take them out after. Don't leave them to drown. Give it a go.

So I'm looking at the costs to send a package overseas... And oh boy it's expensive. Package = 50x30x15 @ 2.5kgs and it's looking like around $90 to post. That's even through couriers. Gotta love Australia has anyone had any experience posting over seas with reasonable costs?

So my lil baby P. Viridis has a bit of a leaf curl. Edges seem crispy too. Suggestion and ideas are welcomed. For your knowledge: kept indoors, next to window with indirect sunlight all day till 3pm-ish then direct sunlight till 5-ish soil has lots of perlite to keep airy SEQ weather i tried to up the humidity over a 2-3week period and saw no improvement.

Yeah thanks. I appreciate the offer. Either way I'll still be placing an order with SAB when the funds are right. There's much more than viridis I want to grow.

Me thinks me needs to place an order with SAB soon

Well the good news is I got rid of the mites. Bad news is... Well see for yourself. Fell off I didn't take them off. Hoping its holds and new growth starts floggin hard.

Chilli, garlic, onion, turmeric, aloe vera, ginger, horseradish, honey lemon... Blend it to a paste with olive oil. Let sit for a week in a sealed jar. Have one spoonful every morning. Along with healthy living and exercise. Haven't tried it. Just a suggestion Oh and organic apple cider vinegar.

But I'd still like to see some in the wild. If anyone can point me in the right direction

Permit required. Of coarse.
-
Firewood collection laws. Fair call. I'll have to do some research.
-
Wow yeah they all do look very similar. I'll have to look a bit closer at the leaves and try find some pods. Thanks

While playing Pokemon go I stumbled across a few acacia trees (I think). Can anyone I'd these? Or do you know a good guide to identifying acacia trees? There's no flowers yet so I dunno if that's a requirement for id'ing.
-
I should have taken a pic of the trunk of one. Was a deep purple/brown colour between the bark. Thanks I'll start there and see if I can ID them more specificity. Maidenii would be neat though it's not gona get hacked down.
-
I'll have to check when I get home. But I can't recall seeing any flying things around inside. Thanks
