  2. I've got a bunch of fresh seed from the last season, a lot of OP crosses mostly as I couldn't be fucked climbing up a ladder to dangle precariously over some gnarly spiny death cucumbers.

Pm me if you like, and I'll let you know what I gots. I can probably even show flowering photos of the plants in question.

  3. I don't buy organic certified mix, I don't even know anywhere that sells such a thing.

I do buy the cheapest mix ever though, it's about $3 for a 25 litre bag, and I like it because it has no added slow release feet pellets like a lot of mixes do. Its also very fine in texture. I have almost never found big chunks of bark in this mix.

It might be useful to know what plant you are concerned about growing. I sincerely doubt that any added ferts would cause any harm though. The problem is more about the supply chain and manufacturing process. Chemical ferts use a lot of electricity to produce, and are generally not good for the environment. But plants still like em!

  4. For trichos, most specialty cactus mixes are probably overkill. You can grow trichos very happily in straight potting mix if you like, as long as it drains well and doesn't contain large pieces of bark/wood.

I go pretty heavy with composted manure in my mix for trichos. I usually use a third potting mix (the mix I get is quite fine, no big chunks of bark, if your mix has big chunks, sieve them out), a third composted chicken manure and a third perlite. If I'm feeling fancy I'll add a bit of dolomite, and some palagonite (volcanic mineral).

You'll have to work out what suits your climate though. My mix is probably too rich for places that have a long winter. My winter really only lasts for maybe 2 months where the plants go dormant. If you have a long cold wet winter, I'd probably lay off the manure a bit and add more drainage grit.

I once knew a couple of cats that submitted to a similar inquiry and had their say a bit...

It's a shame Sam Dastyari and David Lleyonhjelm both let us down with their off field antics.

  6. Sorry if this upsets anyone's sensibilities, but I've been thinking about this a lot in the last few days.

We are all going to die at some point. We probably all have different views on what happens to us after death.

I'm interested in the topic of pre-death rituals, and the treatment of our bodies in this thread mostly, but happy for it to be a more generalised place for people to post about anything related to the topic.

Pretty much all religions of the world have some form of "last rites", and a proscription of what to do with the body. Mostly this involves burial or cremation.

Personally, I don't think I want to be buried, I have various reasons for that. I think I'd like to be cremated and my ashes sent out on the waves. Maybe that's asking for trouble, the ocean is restless, in constant motion. Does that sound like eternal peace? I don't know. I do take solace from the ocean, it is always in my consciousness, I don't think I could live away from it.

But what about pre-death? I guess if life is taken suddenly and without warning, there's not much you can do to prepare.

What do you have in mind as your own "last rites"?

This one might be the most important thing to put thought into. So many people end up in a hospital deathbed, and at that point, decision making is taken away from the dying. This is a tragedy. My father in law laid dying in hospital, and said he just wanted one last beer. Nobody took this request seriously, and I don't think I'll forgive myself for not running out and getting him one. I mean, FFS, what is the worst that could have happened? He was literally about to die.

What happens to me if I shun the last rites of the religion I was raised in? A broken circle is never usually a good thing. But I don't want to be treated as one of the flock, I'm not a sheep. Do I need to renounce the religion beforehand to close that loop?

Hi , first time posting and I see this post is not new but in case anyone is interested still I’ve smoked baileyyana . I used a large cone amount. Effects were similar to weak dope . Felt light headed and some time disoriented, lasted about two hours , didn’t taste too good and left an unpleasant smoke taste in your mouth. I’ll try again vaping it once the tree gets a little bigger as I bought it as tube stock and smoked the lower leaves .

You might find vaping isn't very effective unless you can get the temp up reasonably high. A lot of the harmala type compounds vaporize at higher temps than tryptamines and other compounds. Worth a try though I guess.

I don't have much problem with scale. If I get it, I'll be hitting you up for info on what type of hose nozzle to buy. My main pest is fungus gnats (I think its that). No matter how much I let soil dry out, I get these little bastards munching on roots.

So neem doesn't burn the cacti? I might give it a try. I've got a neem tree I need to repot asap, hoping to make my own neem oil one day.

I use eco neem, it's water based. Not the straight up neem seed oil, that does tend to burn.
