Hello, I don't know if anyone will sell/trade with someone so new but I have searched and searched locally for T. Scop and just cannot find it! I was wondering if anyone had a nice tip cutting (dosent have to be massive as I am a tad tight for cash atm) that they could sell (I don't have much to trade at the moment) Thanks in advance.

Hey, Down the highway a bit, someone was selling live meat rabbits a while ago.. After some thought, I now want to raise rabbits for food.. BUT I couldn't bring myself to kill the animal (yet I am happy to skin and gut the thing) so how would I go about this.. I doubt a butcher would do it for me.. Does anyone here have any experience with something similar? Any idea's and suggestions would be great! Thanks

Are you eating the mutton birds or putting them down? I only ask because I would eat just about any animal atleast once. Theres a place that sells camel steaks nearby, keep meaning to get some.

I would love to, but unfortunately I live in NSW. I live a couple of hours from Byron Bay Are there ever any meets around Coastal NSW?

Schrodinger's Khat replied to herbal_hindsight's question in Cactus & Succulent Identification
Yeah, updates would be good. I personally would have left it, but now you have two so that's positive. I might move one of my Lophs and try and recreate this -
Mystery Turmeric
Schrodinger's Khat replied to Yeti101's question in Plant Identification (non-cactus)
You would know if it's galangal! lol (not taking the piss, its just strong). I'm curious about this. I love growing all sorts of tubers. Galangal makes a nice tea though. If you ever grow a big bunch of it, let me know and I could buy some off you. -
Speaking of Muttonbirds, we had thousands die on the beaches on the coast I live on.. apparently they get tuckered out on the way back from Siberia or something. Do you do much of this kind of thing Waterboy? What kind of dogs do you have bullit?

Theres a few US members here, surely someone knows of a source over your way.

I was having a look at it on Ebay, I might give it a whirl, how long did it take from the UK?
-
Yeah I know, but the only "columnar" cacti they have are Pasacana or Terschekii, then the other Echinopsis are globular. I have received some PM's so now I just need to get my finances right, lol. Thankyou everyone for helping.
-
I didn't think it would last long, haha. I'll change it today when I get time. Edit - This one is slightly less irritating
-
That's starting to look pretty good! What other cacti and succulents have you got planned for it?
-
I think the cuzco/mac will need to be cut. If it is rot, it normally rots from the inner core and it could possibly be worse then what it seems. Even if you did cut it and you root the tip and the stump recovers then you have just doubled your money. Not sure about the dots you're describing, maybe some more photo's could help.

Looking for Mimosa Hostilis and others :)
Schrodinger's Khat replied to Nailthesnail's topic in Seed & Plant Swaps
I think I have some calea seeds I will have a look when I get home, I think there is roughly thirty seeds. Edit- If I can't find them, SAB has them at a good price. -
That sounds about right upside, but then again ? This has me so intrigued.. I don't even know what to search for online. I will be watching this thread closely. Has anyone else experienced this?
-
I have heard about the mystical Bunnings finds also, maybe I'm a bit too rural for them to send decent cacti to the store. Always just petty unhealthy looking Echinopsis. I was trying to avoid Ebay but I might have to check it out. Thanks!

Thanks everyone, Those two links are pretty helpful. Would seem breaking the neck is the most humane way. I need to visit some relatives in the next two weeks who live on a pretty large property with allsorts of critters, I don't get to see them too often so they will love the suggestion of showing me If all goes well there I might have a crack at raising them at home. The quail idea sounds good too stillman, quail is a bloody nice tasting meat Will let you all know how it goes!

Thanks Myco and upside. Those brownies sound like some decent munchie snack. The gif makes me laugh. I am also building a bird aviary at the moment, does anyone else here have raise interesting birds? I only have a few Sun Conures at the moment but am looking into a few more exotic variety's.
