Sausage Cactus for sale or trade

Any BBQ enthusiasts around should hit up Godiam for a trade or purchase for some nice, beefy sausage. Some of the nicest sausage I've seen. Very happy with my cuts. I have done a number of good trades/purchases and sales with Godiam now. Highly recommended. This clone deserves to be predominent way more that PC does, so get on it and spread it around.

    ID needed

It's Trichocereus thelegonus. Looks similar to the clone or "common" version you seem to see in Australia. I really like them. Nice shapes to them. I think a Scop X Thelegonus would be very cool.

    Mushroom ID needed

leucocoprinus birnbaumii. They come up in pot plants very often.
  6. My only survivor, from 42 seeds about 3 popped and 2 promptly died leaving this one, even though it's small it's 10 months old, shitty conditions will do that, hey? I'm scared to move it even though it's in a fetid little container of pure propagating sand and some fertilizer that was watered in once.... Also, it's a pity that Dreamwalker doesn't seem to be around these days. Always had great pics and grafting skills. Come back some day.

Yep, sure is. I was up in that town again for another event so I stopped back in at the nursery. It really is a looker and I was close to getting it last time and I just couldn't help myself.

Same same?? No name on it and didn't have/know it when I asked.

I found one of these about 30cm tall for $60 at a nursery a few weeks ago. I left it there, wasn't feeling rich enough. Awesome shapes though, a great looker for sure.

    Cactus id

#1 - def a bridgesii, can't tell which named clone exactly (if it is one), but a bridge for sure. #2 - looks to be the Sausage plant. (the extra pic you put up in post #4 also looks like sausage) http://trichocereus.net/sausage-plant/ #4 - I'd personally call peruvianus, but call it macro if you prefer. #5 - nice looking plant, no way that's a clone of Psycho0 though. Yours is maybe a pach X peru hybrid or something similar. #6 - I can't see much knuthianus in it, but it does look like another pach/peru hybrid of some type. Nice plants!

    Weed ID

Complete noob guess here, is it a native frangipani, Hymenosporum flavum?
  12. A different, clean brush was used per pollen.
  13. It wasn't particularly scientific. I used a clean, soft artists brush for each kind of donated pollen and placed as much pollen as possible on half of the stigma each, one side per type of pollen, all surface area of the stigma was attempted to be covered by one or other type of pollen. I could see pollen on the brush that was being transfered to the stigma even though I had only small amounts of each to work with.

    id on this roadside find?

I reckon the "spach" is a red flowered grandiflorus. Has longer centrals than spach. Other one could be a variety of candicans or maybe schickendantzii. Need to see flowers. Others will probably know from seeing this pic.
  15. Funny you've posted this as I've just done something similar. Due to 6 scop flowers failing to accept pollen due to opening during a 40 degree heatwave and being cooked, I did a double pollination attempt with 2 kinds of pollen for this scop flower. Should be pretty easy to tell the parents of the progeny apart if this fruit does take. It's only been 5 days so far....... Fields Shed Validus and Bird's Bondi Scop.

    Need Trich pollen

Hey MB, I have pollen in express post to you today. None of those fatties unfortunately but have a variety of named pach and peru coming your way. I hope you can use them!

    eBay/Gumtree finds

I love this guys listings. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/San-Pedro-Cactus-/181981861366?hash=item2a5ef6d5f6:g:NAQAAOSwA4dWKsB5
  18. Thanks very much Nitro! Super generous of you. Sowed my share of the 2015 collection on Boxing day. A bit late but at least they're on the go now. Might have to try and get my hands on number 7 and 8 too.
  19. Me too. Especially Norma. I seem to have a successful Norma X Anakie fruit ripening now and I'll be attempting the reverse cross again tonight as the last one failed due to the flowers opening in the middle of a run of 4 days above 40 degrees here. Hoping for more success on round two with the slightly lower temps, (~32 degrees), as only had a few fruits take last time. Also forgot to add another pic of a different, Gawler peru plant popping tonight. (same clone). I put it in at a friends place so it's been a bit neglected, (probably why it has so many flowers!). But I'm heading over to attempt pollination tonight anyway.
  20. Shots from today. Another round will be opening tonight and over the next couple of days. Plant names are in the pics filenames

    eBay/Gumtree finds

If they're "just for reference" then I'd suggest people look into spenging money with Sacred Succulents in the states then. For the same money you could get 5 times the amount of seeds from them, they're generous with how many they give you too compared to what they advertise. Sure, you have to muck around posting US currency. But it's worth it. Great germ rates and good variety of monstrose crosses. Just my cynical opinion that no one asked for due to the cost being asked with no proper pics of parentage. I counted out as a test and 27 out of 30 seeds germinated, (TPM x TP) sown from SS.

Are these your seeds terrapin? Is that crest the fruit's mother plant they came from?

    Tricho ID

I think most people consider the common hamiltons crest to be a cuzco. Still cool though.

    Raising A.Phlebophylla

Is this something that is known to happen to phleb's when they're given too much water? And I wouldn't have thought water every day when it's 40 degrees would be too much....... But that's why I'm asking, I don't know shit!
  25. Awesome plant Sagi. Lovely.
