What's this plant/herb?
EthnoGuy85 replied to gtarman's question in Plant Identification (non-cactus)
If it's dill it should have that distinct smell when the leaves are crushed. Fennel will have a wide stalk near the base -
Wow! And somehow these pics are very familiar ;) He's got quite the collection after only 3 years
-
That's insane Stillman! How long has it been grafted? And did you get a lot of mutations from that cross?

Doesn't look like sunburn to me. I get this splotchiness occasionally near the growing tip. Dunno what it is but never hurts em and it goes away with time. I wouldn't worry doesn't look viral either

Holy shit! Thems spines is awesome!!
-
SS01 does grow prostrate with age but I don't know what the origins of the clone are.
-
SS02 is a clone from Sacred Succulents from wild collected Bridgesii seed. It apparently was distinct and worthy enough to get named and cloned. It is very unique in that it typically grows 2 spines per areole.

I have volunteer random pepper/tomato sprouts pop up out of my compost that I mix with my Tricho's every year. I always let em grow, but they never reach their full potential either
-
Looks spot on to some scop x pach that I have tho they're aren't quite that large yet

Awesome Ceres! Well done

BK 08612.9 Peruvianus cristata found amongst a batch of seedlings sown out around May. And a degrafted seedling from the same batch. Should be a nice blue crest one day

Outsourcing raising of Nitrogen's mutant seed
EthnoGuy85 replied to tripsis's topic in Cacti & Succulents
I'd so do this but alas I'm in the US. Hope you find a good candidate. *EG85* -
Never had a problem rooting degrafted Tricho's. even small pups have rooted in as little as 2-3 weeks as long as it's warm and they're in active growth it shouldn't be a problem

EthnoGuy85 replied to nitrogen's topic in Cacti & Succulents
TPC x (Juules, SS02 or (SS02 x pachanoi) First one I've grafted so far. Have some seeds of all the mutant crosses going and a few more seedlings of each. Thanks to a generous member at the nook. -
Nice Zelly some interesting crosses I'm sure. Can't wait to see what you turn up

Nitrogen´s Connoisseur hybrids - pics and seed giveaway
EthnoGuy85 replied to nitrogen's topic in Cacti & Succulents
I wonder if the non mutant offspring of these crosses will carry over the monstrose traits? If so we could be looking at some really wicked crosses down the road. I was lucky enough to get the #1 and #8 crosses off of nitrogen(thanks again man!). And find myself now aquiring some seed/seedlings of all but one of the other crosses. Package should be here Monday. :D It will be interesting to see what crosses between the non mutant offspring throw out in the years to come. -
I have Passiflora incarnata if you're interested. Or are you just looking for more ligularis seeds??

Amazing talent there Ceres. I never had much drawin talent but I do love sculpture. It's always very abstract tho. -
grafted loph compared to one growing on its own roots
EthnoGuy85 replied to coolname's topic in Cacti & Succulents
Awesome. I love the hard grown look of own root but I love grafting. Prolly cuz I'm still so impatient. ;) -
Free Trich seed for 100 plus post members
EthnoGuy85 replied to GoOnThen's topic in Seed & Plant Swaps
I always just wrap seed packs in a bit of paper towel and ship in a standard envelope. So far haven't had a problem. I don't meet the post count GoT but I'd be interested if there's any of these left. -
If any of our Aussie members would be kind enough to supply me with some of these seeds I'd be very greatful. Have heaps of ornamental and edible seeds just lemme know what you'd like. Thanks *EG85*
