From my experience, once they are all soft and rotten like that there's no real hope of it recovering. I have had similar problems with crests randomly rotting after appearing to be fine, was with an old pachanoi crest I had chopped up.
If there's anything that is solid you might be able to save an aerole but everything looks dark and nasty to me....

Looks like it could be a little sunburn? If it had a tough time acclimating, could just be callousing the old damage so shouldn't really be a problem.
However if it spreads then it could be something else. I'd keep an eye on it just in case.

If the temperature is warm enough they are going to attempt to grow, and if they are on their sides you'll end up with bent cacti. If there's not enough light they'll also turn yellow/white at the top.
I usually let things callous a couple days then move them to a mostly vertical position to let finish drying.

You can graft the fallen ones, or try and perk em back up vertically..
If you add a bit of coarse sand it usually adds some weight to the mix and gives it a tiny bit of clumping ability and helps prevents this. I had problems with this using a light soil mix and my others where I didn't forget the sand are fine

Pretty sure the main thing to consider with shade cloth is the UV blocking percentage. Color can have subtle differences depending on what you may be trying to achieve...
The shade cloth is going to let through whatever percent of light is not blocked and then depending on the color, the blocked light may be reflected through onto the plant.
So if you want to boost the blue spectrum a bit, could use blue. Green light is usually not used by plants, so I assume it would be similar to using a black cloth.
Black should work perfectly fine as would white, but I feel like black would heat up more in the sun due to it completely absorbing the energy/light and might not last as long.
I have some chairs with a mesh fabric I use as ghetto shade cloth ;)

That red rot is no bueno, I have also had the misfortune of accidentally knocking off the scion and having to regraft it or having to regraft failures so don't stress too much
I would cut off all the red rot possible to expose healthy flesh and rejoin them, make sure you align those vascular cores!

I have seen leaves shoot out growth in response to damaged parts before, so you could take a piece and tear it in half to encourage some growth.

I think that mature bridgesii tend to look like peruvianus/macrogonus depending on genetics of course, this could be the case.

Here's my Notocactus uebelmannianus
Looked like this one day...
Then the next day, finally opened them all up
unfortunately today it is overcast and none of the flowers opened, not sure if they will open again or if they are closed for good?
And also, while working I noticed a few of the cacti in the greenhouse were blooming so I snapped a few shots of them. I <3 my new job :D

Hellonasty that is a beautiful bridgesii! It appears to have the double main spines of an SS02 but exhibits semi-monstrose melted wax tendencies.
Here is a semi-monstrose bridgesii I planted in the ground a few months ago, just shot out some pups from the base I'm excited to see what they look like.

I just got back from visiting the cacti back home and I can't believe the changes since last time!! All have grown after coming out of dormancy, some more than others because of size of cuttings and genetics but the biggest difference is the addition of basal pups to a few of these
My dad went and got some oyster shells to use as mulch and prevent weeds, they look okay and seem to work except I noticed a gash on a cactus that was obviously from a shell hitting it, probably a cat's fault...
And, some pictures.
My dad's Bridgesii crest is finally putting out some new growth, looks like it put out a normal pup so will have to see what it ends up doing.
I realized I called these SS02 x Peruvianus in the OP but realized I had them mislabeled, they are the reverse. So, the biggest Peruvianus x SS02 put on some gnarly spines as well as shooting out 2 basal pups, can't wait till these are bigger and it evens out the cactus
The other similar size peru x SS02 has put on similar growth but was planted a bit after so hopefully next time it'll look like this one!
Melted Wax Bridgesii doing great also, this is the one that had the gash but it's already scarred up and this one is shooting out basal pups too! I have 2 more of these in pots and no pups, going to have to get them in ground after seeing the vast improvement.

T. Peruvianus cv Tarmensis - pups really fattened up nicely, I was worried there wouldn't be enough sunlight with all the shade from trees in the backyard but seem to be doing just fine.
T. Peruvianus Monstrose X SS02 "Terrence" doing it's thing, hoping it'll take off real soon now that it has some deep roots.
T. Pachanoi monstrose putting out some funky growth, maybe it'll crest for me <crosses fingers>... Seems my TPMs are also shooting some wavy growth
I also managed to get a Juul's Giant planted against the fence, wasn't liking it's pot.

I recently started working there on the side so I can't wait to see what they'll get in the future. The owner was happy I have experience grafting and am not a noob. Lol
I am home for the weekend taking care of things at the parents house but get to visit my in ground cacti. I am amazed at how much some of these have grown! I can't wait to get some more stuff planted here. I only wish there was more sun sometimes. Pictures when I can get back to my computer

That 2nd one definitely looks like SS02, if you got it from there then it should be legit and your cutting may just be missing spines. I know he sells legit lumberjackius too
But SS02 is a bridgesii with 2 main spines per aerole.

Hehe. Well now that I think of it I do have pach x bridge going from nitrogens crosses. Granted they are TPM x SS02 and stuff like that, but still pach x bridge.
I thought TPM was a peruvianus monstrose?

I will have to give this a try, have a crest that is begging to be chopped up, has so many growth points
Are there multiple crested bridgesii clones circulating? I only ask because out of the 3 I have, they all exhibit pretty unique growth patterns but I haven't had them all that long so that could be it.

These are the crests that I had cloned, were doing great and showing new growth and then it must have been too humid or something strange because I lost them all extremely quickly to rot.
