    spiral bridg2

Semi-monstrose 4-winds bridgesii that loses a rib occasionally and grows in a spiral.

    Pachanoi or Pachanot?

Tell me more about how PC is not a clone..

I will definitely save some pollen if I get flowers in the future. I have high hopes for this other bridgesii I picked up labelled as semi-monstrose, looked like normal growth originally then put out a TBM like termination and is now putting out another normal looking growth.

Surprisingly haven't knocked down any of the tables full of stuff yet, but I am also mindful of the hose when I water and have a pattern I follow to keep it from getting stuck. I think all the weight keeps them pretty sturdy too as long as they are built nicely.. Did have a bunch of tables stacked 2 blocks high all domino over after a heavy rain, I rebuilt all the tables only 1 block high after that lol

Thanks! They are my babies. That is the biggest greenhouse, I would estimate 100 ft x 30 ft maybe bigger?... It is one of the production greenhouses I manage for a local cactus business and I keep some of my goodies tucked inside ;)

BBB bridgesii X validus crest from seed Another BBB bridgesii X validus Juul's Giant X SS02 on Quiabentia pflanzii stock pushing out some nice growth. Was trying to get a really fat Eulychnia castanea, this was ok... Did another tip onto the biggest Myrtillo will see how fat this one gets. Same huge Myrtillo, can see where the massive TBMC was grafted as well. And just for good measure threw a VTBM onto one of the lower limbs. No aeroles though...

Update with a few new grafts as well. Juul's Giant X SS02 on Quiabentia pflanzii stock, hoping it will be a longer lasting option than pereskiopsis. VTBM Myrtillo geo 'strictum' crest Almost forgot to add, this is the TBMC graft I removed because it was growing into some other cacti. ~8 months of growth

Some seed grown weirdos for you guys. This one seems to be tearing itself apart, high hopes for it.

It actually was, he gave me the revert and a section of pups that are definitely short form. It's callousing now and not much to look at but here's a pic my friend took of the original cactus.

Had a friend who found an old TBM for sale with a reverted section on it. He was kind enough to give me the reverted portion. Although I just checked on it and the recent rains rotted out the bottom.
  13. The greenhouse we have for cactus and succulents has been used in the past for plants of various types. A few of these plants have popped up in random spots and become a bit more prevalent as I stopped pulling them as much since I was told they were some sort of chinese spinach but after looking it up I can't find anything online confirming that. Would like to figure it out before they get too crazy. Here's some pictures I took, the root eventually forms a small tuber. Thank you.

It's a T. santiaguensis monstrose, the pup just started to get all gnarly looking as well.

    Grafts -Photos & Updates

First post in a while, trying to figure out the new editor so hopefully this goes well... I grafted a small piece of TBMC to an offset of a large Myrtillocactus growing in the greenhouse about 6 months ago to try and see what types of growth I would get from such a large stock, I wasn't disappointed. Can't seem to find any pictures of the original scion but here is the earliest one I could find. The Myrtillo stock with the TBMC at the top Some nice crested spines Here's what it looked like today. I need to get a picture with something better for scale but it is the fattest TBMC I have ever seen, probably 8" tall and 6" wide atm
  21. First off, good luck as you'll need it. In my experience that cactus is toast. I have done lots of grafting both aerole and normal trying to save cacti that have come in with a case of rot and there's a certain point where the rot has set in too deep. I bet PC pachanoi would be your best bet and I would attempt some slab grafts if the rot doesn't go down to the center. Keep the grafts dry and warm and out of direct sun.

EG´s Trichocereus Seedlist - For sale or trade

I'd be all over these if I had some more room. I was under the impression the SS tulhuayacensis was red flowering but I have yet to see it myself... Hopefully next year or two...

Here's my most recent loss, too much water over the winter. Silly me. Be sure to send all your stuff with spines my way zelly ;)

The colored San Pedro Flower Project

Keen on tulhuayacensis seeds as well. My tulhuaya X bridgesii seedlings from SS are coming along nicely, one already has a basal pup so maybe a few years and will be able to see a flower for color check.
