Hi guys, I´ll be giving away some free seeds to my SAB family members here! I´ll limit this giveaway to one type to reduce the the workload for labeling and packing. I´ll give away seed bags of my new Trichocereus pachanoi type from my shop on Trichocereus.net which you can see here. There will be another giveway with Trichocereus tulhuayacensis soon. It´s a beautiful type of Trichocereus that is very variable and can be totally spineless or very spiny. The seeds are fresh from 2015 and I´ll give away one bag per SAB family member. Everyone interested, please send me a pm with the title "Pachanoi giveaway" and your address, including the complete name and the country. I know that most are from Australia but I just want to make sure I dont accidentially send it to some missionaries in Yemen. Please write your address in a way that allows me to print the address on a printable sticker, so I can process this giveaway faster! With that I mean, just write it how you want it to be written on the letter and I´ll copy and paste that. I´ll label the seeds "Trichocereus pachanoi" and declare it as a "cactus seeds" and "gift". Which it is. I cannot use a different label, but it´s a permitted import and all the seeds I send are according to AQUIS and CITES. It´s very possible that seeds are opened, but that´s totally fine as they are perfectly labeled. Shipping can take up to 6-8 weeks because I´ll have to pack these in between processing my orders and doing EG-stuff. So expect 1-2 months delivery time. Yes, but I´ve been wanting to end to campaign last week. I only left it up for another week because I had people who asked me to. So if you want one, better get it soon because I will end it as soon as the book is on the way to me.

Hey guys, yes we´re in the end times now and the book release comes close. I hope that I´ll be able to show some pics of the books within the next 14 days. The shipping to me takes 1-2 months and I´ll ship them out as soon as I have them. The whole editing process took a little bit longer than expected, so the avised shipping date in mid August was a little bit too optimistic. But we had to take the time to make a proper editing and proof reading, so we didnt want to rush this most important point. I´ll keep you guys informed!

Nice pics! Definitely interested to hear if this was the well known TBM (which is full monstrose) or one of the ones that can revert between monstrose and non-monstrose growth. But yeah, that´s always cool! The SINA clone definitely reverts back and forth sometimes.

I am pretty sure this is an Ecuadorian Pachanoi. That second pic looks like a textbook example of an Ecuadorian. In the first pic it looks a little spiny, but the other pic makes it pretty clear.

Hi Guys, I am putting together a website about Lophophora now and i´ve already started. Everything is still very small but I´ve added a description for Lophophora Williamsii in German and in English on lophophora.de and would like to add descriptions of every single variety, including pics too. Both English and German. So yeah, if anyone of you has some pics that I can post, please let me know. Wont add any names if not requested so no reason to be concerned about Privacy. Well yeah, that´s basically it. Want to make this a pretty good website and would love to get some pics of the rarer varieties. This is a Scop relative. Probably Tr. crassicostatus, which is IMO most likely synonymous with the Super Pedro / Cordobensis. It definitely is some kind of scop....maybe even the same strain as the Super Pedro and Cordobensis.

It´s not a Cuzcoensis. It´s a Peruvianus. Hardly any swollen spine bases and not a cuzco rib structure.

Yes, this is a cuzcoensis. Is this from the SG? It could be one of the Chavin Cuzcos. They looked exactly like that. If they are the ones I think they are, they absolutely stunning and extremely rare. If not, it´s definitely a similar type.

It is the textbook case of winter damage. I agree you might want to think about winter protection. It´s not normal that plants get something like that unless there is something wrong with the environment. Like previously mentioned; get yourself a cheap greenhouse. You dont need to spend much to prevent something like this in the future. It´s an amazing plant and it will rise again. :-D

Yes but be super careful and if you can get a non-oily Neem solution it would be the better option. Neem oil can cause chemical burns, especially when sprayed in summer. If you dont get the Neem chemical as a toxin make sure to dilute the oil mix. And get yourself some sulfur because it is a great way to get sick plants back on track. No matter what; this will take years to heal.

Pretty sure this is a secondary infection caused by cold damage. If you want to get to the root of this you need to protect them from frost or it will happen again. Those instects can be killed with Neem and it shouldnt be a big problem to get rid of the insects. The real problem is the rot that you have there. I would use sulfur, neem and maybe 60-70% alcohol to get this plant back on track.

Hey Pacha, what regions do you want to travel to? There are SO many cool places like Chavin de Huantar, South Peru, Huaraz, Lima, Cusco, Matucana etc. Let me know which areas you are heading and I´ll give you some tips about where there are nice plants to take pics of!

Hi guys, my new Pachanoi seeds are finally in! It´s a true Pachanoi from the Peruvian city Ayabaca and I am offering them here for you as well! I´ve been waiting half a year until I finally got those seeds and I am madly happy about having them. Hey Kykeion, been there done that. Had a total loss in a greenhouse many years ago and it broke my heart. Stopped growing cacti for at least two years, but became a much better grower because of that. So yeah, glad to see you are back. Setbacks are normal and you will be glad you didnt let that accident keep you from growing cacti! bye Eg
