I found these in a wood chip garden bed in Melbourne - The wood chips are old old, grey wood chips. There were a few of the orange P. Sub lookalikes with them. I didn't have a camera with me so I grabbed them to take photos later. My camera is broken so this is a phone shot and it doesn't show the colour properly, they're quite blue and have gotten bluer over the last 3 hours sinece they were picked. Cap is about half 5c piece size.

Ahh.. yes it was white paper... I'll try foil and maybe glass if i find any more of these. Very interested to see what they turn out to be! -
Are these panaeolus cyanescens?
IndianDreaming replied to IndianDreaming's question in Fungus Identification
Yes, they were actually not blue to begin with. Maybe a slight tinge around the cap edge. Damaging them causes the blue. I'll go check the patch again next week and see if there's any more there - these ones have dried up so I flung em out in the yard. I did try leaving the cap on paper but there was no print. If there's any more there, i'll get a proper closeup shot of all it's parts. Thanks for the reply! -
Thats a great selection bogfrog! (iDreaming googles ulluco...) If I eat too many goji's - I get a severe stomach ache. It doesn't take many - proably only 10-15. I'm growing my own now to try them fresh - I've only had semi dried. For me they are absolutely wonderful in a small handful of nuts at satiating the 'craving' feeling and filling me up. Not sure about naughty... I'm naughty enough already...

Are you dehydrated? A little test...

I've recently flogged my body into shape with healthy eating and more water. The biggest thing I noticed was how dehydrated I was. I had to force myself to drink water in the morning, and it made me feel a bit sick. After 3 days though I was so thirsty I could drink 5-8 pints a day no worries. If you're willing, try this little test on yourself just for fun, it only involves forcing down a few glasses of water over 3 days, so it's not gonna hurt... - Drink 3 full pints of water in the morning: 1 in the morning straight out of bed, one at 10:30am and one at 12pm After 3 days of force feeding myself water (I wasn't thirsty and hated it) - I was actually thirsty at 3pm and could easily drink 2-3 more pints that day. Before that I had to force them down. From then on and even now, I feel like glasses of water all the time. Give it a go and let me know how you go - I'd love to hear if it works for you. I think a lot of westerners are dehydrated and our thirst urge is not functioning properly - somehow our thirst urge has been switched over to make us feel hungry, when actually our bodies are thirsty... -

WTB: HPBCD / Hydroxypropyl-Beta-Cyclodextrin
IndianDreaming replied to hyjroul's topic in Seed & Plant Swaps
Do you have a product called 'fabreeze' over there? Its laundry dryer sheets - It contains cyclodextrin compounds - not sure if its Hydroxypropyl-beta though. Best I can offer sorry - good luck. -

^^ - Thats so funny! I used to smoke on the loo - and you know what?! The 2 urges did get combined! Whenever I was at a mates place, we'd spark up and I'd need to go potty... It took a lot of reverse training to break that cycle. It doesn't take long to train yourself like this - combine a few habits for a coupla weeks and whallah, each one reinforces the others... -

If their product was great - it wouldn't need photoshopping at all - just get it off the shelf and take a picture - they're selling lies by doing that! Hehe, I must admit - I still drool when i think of it - but its ruined for me now, if i eat it i get sick. I guess my body is operating on a different path now. dionysus - eat one for me! -
I'd love a few if there's some left... Rather than send stamps - Can I chuck $10 in your account for postage, you can use whatevers left of the tenner to post to other people.

WhiteWind: I lived in the UK for a year and my favourite saying when asked for a glass of water was "Just a little slice thanks." Bluntmuffin: I think you're spot on there, I had a continual stomach/bowel cramp a while ago, turns out it was smooth wall muscle contractions from too much coffee (we'd recently got a coffee machine at work and I was having 3 coffees a day) - a little magnesium in my diet fixed it very quickly. As well as cutting back to my usual single cuppa. -
Hmm... seaweed - I'll look into it. Thanks Auxin

Hmm... I'm hearin ya NegativeD, but people aren't fed all the appropriate facts needed to make an informed decision. They're bombarded with advertising, jingles and misinformation. Also, as much as I love to give people the benefit of the doubt, common sense is not very common. You just have to look at the stats of obesity, heart disease and other ailments to see that the vast majority of people aren't making the right decisions... Personally I think it's because they're addicted to the chemicals in the food - so it's not their fault. A lot of food chemicals are neurotoxins and change the way you think - MSG is a classic example. Look up where neutrasweet came from... and phenylketonurics... I can personally attest to the reaction I have to these chemicals now that I've cleaned up my act. Within minutes of eating MSG my mood changes and i feel cloudy, grumpy and agitated, and I crave crave crave - I pee 3 or 4 times in the next 3 hours and then feel dehydrated for ages. If i drink heaps of water it just comes straight out. How can someone who's not actively monitoring this be expected to take notice of all this and make an appropriate decision? -

Meh - I can't really stand on a soap box - I used to eat the crap 5 times a week for years. I'm a born again non-maccas eater, the sight and smell of it makes me puke now. I ate it once about a month ago and thought i was going to die for 24 hours. You're welcome to it - you can have my fries too, and the delicious pure liquid pig fat shake... YUM! -

@NegativeDave - 'Regulation' - Maybe so, but they seem to regulate the wrong things! So many beneficial herbs are regulated and they're 1000% better than McDonalds... I do believe in freedom of choice so I get ya - but either regulate everything or nothing. It's all about the $ in the end, not your freedom of choice or health. -
