  1. good discussion here, thx 4 all the input.

i would have loved to grow this plant, but is not to be, i can't work out why...

so let me side track, i love incarnata, because it's said to be a mild moi, and many sleep aids (mostly in europ) feature, incarnata.

but instead of going wild, like i hoped, like a passion fruit, you grow in "oz", she acted tricky.

i believe passsion flowers have great potential, and are not fully understood yet, by the human animal.

for examle, let me say, as follows, when i was still, hooked on nico smokes, eating passion fruits, would stopp, my craving for baccy, for a while!

  2. the one i recieved, died on me.

it showed symptoms of wilting disease.

my plant looked reasonably healthy, but showed chlorosis, after the first cold night, she displayed wilting syndrome,

    now, she is dead.

maybe it was fusarium which killed my specimen, or similar.

in other words, incarnata is very sensitive to fungal/bacterial actions in the soil, which get amplyfied, my the return of the cod season....

  3. you know i'm happy to remember that, there are, sab members, which, correctly diagnosed tinnitus, for topic starters, and as such helped meber(s) with this condition.

i got it as well as times, and now since years, i never lissent, to loud music, or machinery..., again nowadays, "it" doesn't happen that often.

i'm lucky my tinnitus is mild, some people killed themselves because of the, constant ringing in the ears.

industrial workers, and musos are prone to it, my tip, "stopp dancing in front of the loud speakers, if attending a gig"!!!

    there is no cure!

I really want to get my hands on iboga and then propagate it using tissue culture. I've been looking for journal articles on the recipes and techniques used for the micropropagation of iboga.

that would be awesome, because iboga, is a almost impossible cutting to strike.

i managed once to strike a cutting, though...

dividing plants is the easiest methode, so maybe this means root division using tissue culture.

  5. thx 4 your replies, and the "where and when", will be worked out in given time, i'm sure it will happen, because i basicly get inspired by the late andyamine...

side track, i just returned from a short trip to the anakie gem fields, and i managed to collect some native coca seeds.

pm me and i send 3 letters out, to who ever is interressted.

  6. hi!

i thought of this for many years, but only post now, about it...

reply to this post, if you interrested, but use the pm to contact me or work out details.

    WHEN: time will tell.

    WHERE: close to rocky.

HOW: maybe best to be in a smallish group, you could camp in my big garden. maybe even roll a swag, in my house. if you fly in, i can pick you up at the airport in rocky.

  7. hi, ph7!

i overlooked your reply till, just now, but i'm happy to say, somebody pm'd me and i recieved plenty of those seeds, a while ago.

propably thats why, i stopped checking this thread for answeres.

when i reply to a post or start one, i allways remind myselfe, "have i forgotten something, to say".

like when you go on holydays, and you know, only once you start driving, you remember, what you forgott.

so , my dad, used to drive around the block and, his methode worked, well, well, he was in the war!

so if you post, circle for a while, before hitting that reply button...

so i say, if you are looking for something, "give it time" as this thread seems to suggest.

it took months to score, but i expected instant gratification, hehe.

sab, rocks, hail, hail to sab!:P

  8. yeah, my bad for coming on so strong.

i read your post like" we got so many psychotrias, we had to introduce a number system".

for me it's easier to remeber names like andromeda galaxy, instead of m33...

maybe i can find a post which described 3 chacrunas, our most common (forgot the name), shibipo, and moon.

i wonder which of your numbers relate to, the former named?

  9. UPDATE:

i used dried searls seed raising mix as medium.

and to avoid the sections from, moving i, simply leaned them against the rim of the pots.

i might add that, i was very unlucky at times with my pedros, as once i rented out my place, and when i came back all my pedros had dissapeared...

  10. i have grown two different caapi at my place, both planted into the ground, both survived mild frosts, even without protection.

and i agree with sagi, you, "topic starter be clear" when asking a question.

they don't even get upset like many other plants, once it gets cold (not even frosting) for the first time.

my theory is that, the cold weather is not harming the plant, BUT HARMING BENEFICAL BACTERIA AND FUNGI IN THE SOIL, AND ENCOURAGING BAD BUGS IN THE SOIL.

    LIKE FUSARIUM WILT.

I didn't have any luck either John. However, what you sent definitely had some seeds in the mix, I think germinating fromthis type of seed is very time sensitive (<7 week).

because, it's a very small seed, we could asume, it losses viabilety within 7 weeks.

but ther are many other factors at times at play.

i tell you mostly what i know of 1st hand sources...

gomoas had a big kratty tree in bris, it was a rifat, sourced from me,

he told me (maybe 18 years ago)e he just sprinkled the seeds (and all the other stuff surrounding the mitragyna seed capsule.

onto potting mix, and used a dome, and many sprouted.

Thanks for the references. I would have to be younger to follow hem all up.

Torsten advised that he had no success with the pods I sent him. He is seeding advice overseas as to whether they are actual seeds or spent flowers?

I have gone back to cuttings for a while. Do you have trees yourself?

i learned a lot from sab, and know how viable kratom seeds look like, but my tree doesn't produce viable seeds often, i think thats because of lack of water.

as, i said kratom cuttings are easy, if taken in spring, or early season.

iv'e taken many mitragyna cuttings, and at times the one's i though are not so good, took root, the best (tip cuttings of fast growing vigorous tips).

i learned heaps, regarding probagation from this plant, so have many others.

  13. man, i feel for you, thx for going into details.

i hope the, new generation of pain killers (inspired by cone shells and blue ringed octupuss) will be available soon, and would love to volunter, to try them out.

  14. it often amazed me, how many of us here, are soooo sientific, but still, hold belives like "a soul survives death" or the "good vibes generator".

forgive me if i have posted as i will follow, already...

think of me like grand dad simpson, who repeats his stories.

the good vibes idea, reminded me of a story in the bible.

and if any of you know the story, please give reference.

so i don't believe jesus was the son of god, neither to i believe in a creator god.

    the parable:

jesus is asked, so if you heal somebody, do you have to be present, when you heal them?

jesus replies, no, they don't even have to know, i send them my healing.

I have a friend with dyslexia. He speaks very fluently but is a bit lost with reading and writing.

I have recently done a swap with Torsten with these seeds. I will have to enquire if he had some luck.

Good to hear I am not the only one having trouble with these seeds.

I haven't worked out the meaning of your last sentence yet. My sense of humor is not the sharpest.

I have heard that Mitra has been used successfully to get off opiates? I had to come off fentanyl patches 5 years ago but did it by very slow taper..

For me they should only be prescribed if I am terminal.

john, if you read this, give us more info, regarding you, using fentanyl patches.

i once cared at time for avery old man, and pallative care, put him onto fentanyl patches, i think he dieded from fentanyl, by him stopping breathing.

he's death was un noticed for a while, allthough, he sat with one of his cares on the same table.

i feel privileged to have had fantanyl once in tablet form, it was better than endo...

kratom, we protect, i believe herb plants will make a comeback, and in the future, will be, held even within the pharma sience world, as a better alternative to pills.

  16. it's a very common plant, sold in large and small garden centers.

it's avery common plant, in our gardens and at puplic spaces, managed by you local councils.

most of us sab people would not probagate it because, other plants need more help.

this plant is not endagered, most of what we do here is to save, and protect, rare plants, with bio active compounds.

tabernaemontana, doesn't conatain dmt in apreaciable ammount, so most of us only grow it as a fragrant plant in our gardens...

buy it at the nursery, thank you.

So this means I may get a red veined variety from seed? I have ben told it may be more potent?

I will keep at seed germination. I did get a few after I threw a heap of pods into potting mix but they died at the 15mm stage,.

maybe you could get a red, from your seed, yes! but some horticulturist, i spoke to about this, said it's unlikely. but i believe the original claim, rifat can produce deep red veined kratom trees!!

i never germinated my own rifat seeds. but knew experienced people, who did.

my location dosn't favor mitragyna, brisbane people get more often good seeds, from this tree.

imagen, when tort and darklight, worked with this seed, only one seedling emerged or survived!!

dl, is a tissue culture expert, and always shared her personal sientific knowlwedge, regarding her pioner work!!

kratom is an incredible plant with enormous potential, helping us humans and animals, trapped on this rock.

    forgive my phonetic spelling,

    i display, mild dyslexia.

and some people hate me here, because "you loser" is spelled with only one "O", and not like you loose.
