This is a very interesting thread. MHRB is used in Mexico as a medication for burns and other skin problems. I believe it is recognized officially and registered in the Mexican pharmacopia inventory. I wonder if it is the DMT that is the active component in such instances?

Back in the 70s I experienced synesthesia often when peaking on the acid of the time, and it seemed to be dosage related. The higher the dose ,the more profound and bizzare the effects. Curiously, I never experienced it with mushrooms.

Taurus. I am easy - going, placid, slow to anger but when enraged lookout - stereotypical taurean traits. But I reckon astrology is mumbo - jumbo nonsense; typical Taurus. -
perhaps our DNA is our way of reincarnation. I am unable to recall any previos lives, even when tripping out to the max.

They grow REALLY fast in the tropics but very prone to rot in the wet season. I have had to resort to a sistemic fungicide at times. Once I built a shelter with a plastic roof that was really good -the stuff was called "Sarlon Solargrow", and it also reduced sunburn. Reccomended.

It might be overfeeding. Too much N can cause them to become rubbery. If so they can be saved by repotting, or maybe by flushing the soil with fresh water.

Hi Tipz. I am no expert, but suspect that all wattles of the Juliflorae section of the acacia genus should be phytochemically assayed. Perhaps somebody knowledgeable in this field can advise? regards, Tom.

Hi Auxin. I think you are right about lophs and trichs; I have little experience with others. I live in the tropics at lat26 and previously in Darwin[lat14], and have never seen a trich flower despite having some large specimens. I used to think it it was because I was forced to grow in pots isolated from the ground due to termites which attack live plants. They seem to love the woody core of trichs, and serious damage can be done before one realises something is wrong. I have since relocated and still growing in pots because a different termite here also attacks some plants [e.g hemp]that has light white wood inside. They really seem to be attracted to some species and ignore others. I really hate the little bastards. regards, Tom.

I believe you can check with AQIS before ordering if certain species are regulated.

It appears that the Federal govt is determined to create the so called "nanny state" for Oz. This is part of an on-going process that erodes the civil rights of citizens. I presume they are in a panic mode, freaking out suspecting that cottage industries will evolve extracting illicit substances. Although these new laws will be largely unenforcable, they will neverthelss be bad news for anumber of reasons including both our civil liberties and the environment.e.g. to restict a person of the right to grow thier own wattle can only lead to the increased unsustainable exploitation of the already devastated Australian bush. Furthermore, these idiots have failed to realise that ethnobotany is potentially the best weapon possible with which to combt the illicit drug menace. I am a parent and would much prefer my kid to chew qat than inject speed or drink poppy tea than use smack, to give acouple of examples. I am interested in what other forum members think about the new laws and what we can do to prevent them from becoming reality.
