Halcyon Daze Posted August 17, 2018 (edited) Anyone tried cooking with the shelled hemp seed that's legal to buy and eat nowadays. Got any hints n tips or info to share. Anyone tried the un-shelled varieties? Do you think there would be any CBD in the seeds? Edited August 18, 2018 by Halcyon Daze
G Dawg Posted August 18, 2018 Have used the hemp flour and hemp protein in bread and pancakes which tastes good but makes the bread a lot more crumbly. Not sure about the unhulled seeds but looking to try some out
TheMooseZeus Posted August 18, 2018 This may be a little off topic but purely out of interest, what happens if you plant shop bought hemp seeds? I imagine you're breaking the law but do they sprout? Are they denatured in some way?
bardo Posted August 22, 2018 On occasions i will add the seed oil into fruit juices, i mainly use the hulled seeds sprinkled on porridge and sometimes on salads, its nice in short bread biscuits with some coarsely crushed walnuts or macadamia nuts. I make a peanut butter chocolate bar fairly regularly with a heap of different nuts and seeds in it and hemp seeds are near always are added.
