Fungi books?

Intension

Recommended Posts

Just looking for what books on fungi people would reccomend, I've heard that most people really like 'Field Guide to Australian Fungi'. But what other books would you all recommend? Possibly one on Mycena species (If a book like that exists) would be great. Thanks

The one you mentioned is a good one. Pretty sure there is actually more than one thread on this already though. UTSE.

there has been talk of stickies in the mycology subforum, if there is a thread of this nature that is fairly comprehensive, perhaps it should be stickied, or a new one made.

A good field guide is essential for all beginners and experienced alike and its good to know what is available, and for which regions.

with regard to the mycena's, to my knowledge a specific book doesnt exist for australian species, but this is an amazing group with a huge variety, so perhaps one does exist but i would assume it would be a fairly acedemic tome.

Cheers, Ob.
