Chiral Posted November 15, 2009 I planted some seeds last season in a pot, unlabeled and have no recollection of what the seed even looked like.. Anyone know what type of acacia this little one is...?
0 FancyPants Posted November 16, 2009 I'm pretty noobish still so I can only guess... but it looks a lot like Desmodium illinoensis or mimosa hostilis. But then you said "acacia"...
0 Chiral Posted November 16, 2009 Yes I have thought them to be a Desmanthus, someone else has suspected them to be Desmanthus leptolobus. They are not M. hostilis as I have a lovely M. hostilis tree and the leaves are very different.
0 Birdwing Posted November 16, 2009 I don't think it's an Acacia the flower on it doesn't look like right to be an Acacia. I'd prolly go with Desmanthus aswell.
