Acacia from seed ID please...

Question

I planted some seeds last season in a pot, unlabeled and have no recollection of what the seed even looked like..

Anyone know what type of acacia this little one is...?

I'm pretty noobish still so I can only guess... but it looks a lot like Desmodium illinoensis or mimosa hostilis. But then you said "acacia"...

Yes I have thought them to be a Desmanthus, someone else has suspected them to be Desmanthus leptolobus. They are not M. hostilis as I have a lovely M. hostilis tree and the leaves are very different.

I don't think it's an Acacia the flower on it doesn't look like right to be an Acacia.

I'd prolly go with Desmanthus aswell.
