Chiral Posted February 21, 2009 A 25-year-old man was arrested after he posted videos on the YouTube website of a cannabis plant he was growing. Police were tipped off about the video and said they were "amazed" that the man had used his name on the website. Officers went to the man's home in Bridgwater, Somerset, and found a large cannabis plant and equipment used to grow the drug. The man, who was said to be "extremely surprised" officers had seen the video, was given an official police warning. Pc Adrian Peck of Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said the cannabis produced by the plant could have had a potential street value of up to £500. "The cultivation of cannabis is illegal, he said. "If you break the law and are foolish enough to then advertise your criminal activities on the Internet, it makes it very easy for the police to catch you" Link H.
