Hey dude seriously don't sweat it, you were the best person to work with and made where I am today possible. Which is in a much more stable and focused place. Everything you did really meant a lot and you helped in a lot of ways to give me the security to get out of a relationship that had gone sepo. Also just routine and transferable job skills yadayada Couldn't imagine doing long hours in the heat without yourself and the crew you managed and formed. Definitely saw the brutal, unrealistic expectations and stress put on to you and the other managers, pretty unsustainable for anyone to keep at that long term. Trying to get more slow growers like Obregonia and Arios on the go rather than armies of Trichos. Trying to get a lot of native bush tucker growing in the garden as well which is great for a reference when out in the actual bush.

Plenty of Black Wattle / melanoxyn in the South. That and Acacia baileyana. Have spotted the odd obtusifolia. floribunda are prevalent in the North Island and even considered an invasive but I haven't witnessed this.

Yup the red and yellow. All the sanguinea trees I have seen have had plenty of flowers but no fruit. I planted one tree that I was given a few years ago and it had a fruit last year that I assumed was due to pollination from a nearby tree. This year it has multiple fruit and I wonder now if it is self fertile as I haven't seen any other trees in bloom nearby but who knows. PMd

Hey guys As I'm sure many of you here have, I dream of one day having a large tunnel house to use. Large as in 10m+ long, these go for around 10k here but looking online there are kits from many Chinese companies that look the same in the same dimensions that go for a tenth of the price. I wanted to see if anyone here had experience or knew of anyone that had imported greenhouses like this before. Good or bad. I already have a smaller home made greenhouse and a relocated glasshouse and have seen cheap plastic houses ripped to shreds or broken in the wind. The ones online I have been looking at are made from steel and give specs for everything used and look and sound a lot better than the plastic bunnings type set ups. Anywho, if you have experience or know of anyone that does please share. I'm not sure where else to ask for advice on this apart from maybe getting in contact with people operating them in the area.

Anyone grow these out? I ended up with some seed of what I believe to be the same cross in a trade. Sprouts look different to Trichocereus in same conditions...

Out walking today I found these amongst old ruins of a stone house. Sorry for lack of habitat shots, I didn't have my camera. Here area couple for IDs, I was thinking P. semilanceata. What do you think?
