How do you think the COVID19 pandemic will influence societal change, particularly in Australia?
Surely the western world will re-assess it's dependence on China to produce our medicines at the very least. Or will the lessons that we are confronted with now simply be forgotten and we return to needless consumerism and dependence on cheap imports in the name of a "healthy" global economy?
I hope it wakes people up and drives a bit of a reassurance in self sufficient living, supporting small local traders and the like. Of course this kind of living reduces the profitability of big business so there would be more economic stress.
