  1. hey mate,

welcome to the forums. Are you in Australia?

Nice job with the mamm seeds, ive heard they are difficult to obtain without hurting the plant. Anyways, if you were wanting to trade, I have some Ario seeds, but i will have to check the numbers and varieties. I think from memory I have some spare trigonus and furfuraceous, around 30 of each. In around 3 weeks I will have about 50 spare agavoides from a variegated motherplant. (agavoides varieg x agavoides). If any of this sounds interesting, let me know.

Also, are theresea difficult from seed? Ive grown a few different mamms from seed without difficulty, including herrerae, but never tried the supposedly hard to germinate ones such as theresea, luethyi, humboldtii.

    Cheers

      Hi.

      Im in Australia, Gold Coast.

I dont have many seeds left now maybe 30 from the 100 I collected.

The variegated agavoid seed sound interesting.

Ive found a way to havest seed with barely any damage to the plant using a skewer with a tinny ball of bluetak on the end.

As for germinating them, yeah it is hard from all I've read but i used the info available on the net and added a couple of my own ideas and since sowing 7 three days ago i have one up today,  and this is far from ideal sowing season.

If we swap some seed ill share my techniques with you.

Im no expert on these mams, just a hobbist and this small test batch of 7 seeds weren't even soaked before use as some sites recommend - even in acid compounds.

      Check the pic - day 1 M.theresae

      Thanks and talk again.
