Sharxx my man. I'm keen for a Spring meet before EGA. Let's celebrate the Springy spring spring! How about the 21st of September? Just a date I'm putting out there. Open to other dates. Don't forget to sow, sow, sow!

    Meet up: Melbourne

Thanks obtuse and Amazonian! I promise to have many tales of wonder, adventure and hopefully have a few new plants to introduce into the community. Much love to all. Take care and make sure to keep annoying those wedding parties in my absence.
  7. New cuts added for your pleasure.
  8. These will be up for sale until the 30th of May and latest payments would have to be the same date to make the post office on Saturday. I'm going walkabout/Tiki tour for a while and would prefer these had a good home before that happens. I also have Lophophora and other rarities for sale as well. For more information please contact me. I am open to reducing the prices so long as you don't embarrass me with your offers. A couple cuts of suspected sausage plant. This one seems to rib shift instead of terminating. This could be because it has been grown in semi-greenhouse conditions, which kept it growing through Winter. Regardless it's a nice cactus that has a beautiful Blue hue when not grown in full blown sun. Two cuts totalling 73cm. $50 plus postage for both or $40 for the large cut(48cm) and $20 for the smaller one(25cm) Collector's Corner T. bridgesii. Very fat cactus. 93cm. $70 plus postage but would prefer not to post this, Melbourne pick up, can meet half way. Might have to reduce length in order to post. Psycho0 65cm. $50 plus postage. T. peruvianus 'ferret seed grown' 62cm. $55 plus postage. Melted wax T. bridgesii 33cm. $25 plus postage -SOLD PENDING PAYMENT- T. bridgesii sourced from Western Australia 'WA2' 36cm. $25 plus postage. Thanks

    Meet up: Melbourne

I'm jetting off on Sunday. If anyone is keen for an imprompu meet on Saturday that would be most grand. Otherwise I guess I'll catch you plant friends up again later in the time space continuum.

    Just Outside of Launceston, Tasmania

Pictures 1-3 are an Inocybe sp. 4) ??? A gill shot would be handy. 5) Maybe Laccaria sp. 6) ?? 7) Mycena sp.
  13. karode13

    ID Please?

Probably Galerina marginata, based on them growing from wood, pileus and stipe colour. Tell your friend mushroom identifiers need at least one gill shot to have a chance at a positive id.

    interesting mushroom. purple

That seems like a very good candidate actually, habitat is also right for them. Spore print will have a pink tinge if it is.

    Meet up: Melbourne

We'll do our best orb ;) Cool. I'll get there late this time. Feel like a dork being first. I'll bring some cool plants along too.
  19. karode13

    interesting mushroom. purple

Yeah, I'm keen to look at the spores. That will at least give us an idea of genus. I haven't all the literature on Laccaria/Hygrocye to go further than that though. I'll shoot you a pm.

    So is Saturday confirmed?
  21. karode13

    interesting mushroom. purple

That's a cool find. Either a Laccaria sp or Hygrocybe sp. <Doubtful Any chance of a spore print? If no one knows this mushroom off hand I can have look at the spores under a scope.

You can count this meatbag in. Someone set a date. I'm easy...
  23. karode13

    bolete?

You're welcome. Hope it wasn't too bitter.
  24. karode13

    bolete?

I have a feeling this is a Tylopilus sp. They look similar to ones found be me before. The pores look immature so I don't think you'll get a spore print. Tylopilus typically have Pink gills in maturity. Another identifiable feature of Tylopilus used in the field is that they taste very bitter. The safe way to taste mushrooms is to take a small portion, like a 5cent piece worth, put in on your tongue and squash it against the top of your mouth to release juices. You should be able to taste the mushroom now after moving over the tongue and around the mouth. If it's a Tylopilus you'll spit it out straight away, they're that bitter. Once you get a taste of the mushroom, you spit out the material chewed and any saliva build up. You can then use water to gargle and spit out to further clean your mouth of any taste or residue. This is a safe way to taste mushrooms. Many mushrooms can be identified by taste and smell. Always good to get this information.

    Nameko id?

Pictures are too small to make out features properly. Do a spore print. Pholiota have Brown spores. Galerina have Rust coloured spores. From what I can tell these aren't Galerina. Might even be an Armillaria sp.
