friendly Posted May 17, 2004 We use ethanol and water, reflux at 165 degrees farenheit for 6 hours and recover the solvents. The mother liquor is slowly evaporated to the desired consistency and strength using a hot plate/magnetic stirrer set on the lowest setting. This produces a consistent product that resembles a fine ganga resin. 10-20mg smoked is adeuqate, but more may be used it desired. I have to mention that Mesembrine (the active in Sceletium) is a potent SSRI (Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor) and should not be used in combination with any psychiatric drugs or bad things may happen, such as serotonin syndrome, which can be fatal.
