waterdragon Posted December 31, 2003 got no joy from this site: http://www.ffp.csiro.au/tigr/atscmain/what...ist/suplist.htm what's in these that would make it worth the trouble to identify and locate? there was a link for acacia i.d on this site(sab) a while ago but it no longer functions. send me a piccy and i'll see if i recognise it. spunwhirllin Posted December 31, 2003 I too am also interested in obtaining the above mentioned seeds. I e-mailed a supplier, the only one i found that actually had a few plants growing, they responded with this. '' We have collected a. alpina and found it extremely difficult to propagate,(needing heat treament and stratification)have seen it die in the normal australian potting mix,but have managed to grow two in initially straight pumice. they flowered profusely this spring but only set one pod. a kinder spring next year will hopefully offer more seed. a. dallchiana i have yet to see in the wild.'' so,no leads on seeds at the moment, but maybe a clue regarding the cultivation of alpine acacias, such as phlebophylla. any info on a.obliquaverva?
