A New Zealand man received a 14 month suspended sentence for smuggling approx.

400 bulbs into brisbane,dont know what they were.Pretty heavy.

could not have been first offence and was most likely also a commercial matter. person imports simply don't attract such penalties.

In germany they have made a start. Animals are only allowed to be transported very short distances to be slaughtered (like the nearest slaughterhouse or something). Fines are huge.
