overwintering indoors

Recommended Posts

Well, the summer will soon be over here, and I'm not sure where I'm going to put all of my cacti. I was wondering if they would be alright if they were kept in a cool, dark basement. Will they etiolate or grow at all if I hardly water?

As long as they're dormant, do they still need good light?

Btw, I'm mostly talking about trichs. Thanks. :)

I keep mine in a cool room with little light, they do fine as long as you don't let them shrivel too much and as long as you keep the temp low. I keep them below 60°ƒ, that is about 16°C BTW.

Thanks for the fast reply. My basement will probably be around 65 degrees F. Hopefully this will be alright..
