Agamemnon Posted October 31, 2004 My hoodia are pupping like crazy at the moment, but one has gone a bit overboard..... Normally you might get two pups off one branch, but this one's got six! Agamemnon Posted November 1, 2004 I try to always water them at the base, so yeah, no overhead watering. They seem to like the humidity up here in the tropics. Keep them outside all year round. If rain threatens I usually run them under the carport. Overwatering is the big worry. I water once every 2 weeks in the summer, maybe once every 6 weeks in winter. I use yates liquid cacti fertilizer..they love it! If they accidently get watered more than twice in quick succession (ie rainstorm) they can get pissed off real quick and start to shrivel/blacken so you need to keep an eye on things. Torsten Posted November 1, 2004 that looks almost like a crest form. if they stay together like this rather than separating you should try and regenerate them by cutting vertically. that should keep the crest mutation going.
