narayan Posted May 4, 2004 I know that stressing cacti increases their alkaloid content and heres some questions: 1.instead of stressing the whole plant why not cut off the amount of cacti you need and leave the cutting in a dark spot for several months. So you can keep your pedro in good condition. 2.Would it continue to make alkaloids or would it just dehydrate and make the cutting more potent by weight because it dehydrates? 3.Would the cutting need to be put in some soil? 4.What sort of timespan would be needed to increase the alkaloids? The reason i'm asking is because I find psychoactive cacti alkaloids to be excellent for discouraging werewolves, and its going to be a full moon soon
theobromos Posted May 4, 2004 I have seen this suggested. For a month of storage when cut at the end of the growing season. I don't think chemical analyses have been done on the best storage methods etc.
