Guest Psilo_smylin Posted February 15, 2001 I found an absolute monster cactus not long ago and obtained a "small" cutting. I own a T.pachanoi which I payed $65 (i was desperate) for from a good source and have seen many others. But this was @#*$%#! huge! The "small" cutting I got (smallest branch)was about 30cm high and 12cm wide. The base (trunk) of the mother was 25-30cm and over 4m tall. Anyone know if this is most likely mutant T.pachanoi or T.?? var .

Guest wira Posted February 16, 2001 I don't see why it would have to be a mutant. T. pachanoi can get pretty huge over time, with good conditions. The largest I have ever seen was at least 6m tall [hard to estimate], though it was supported by a tree that it was growing next to - it had crept up through the branches to tower above the tree itself!
