Recommended Posts

Guest Mesqualero

My Pachanois is getting little yellow dot things on it.... which look like they can be picked off.... I havent got any pictures...

The yellow dots are slightly raised.. it isnt like totally widespread.. but opping up here and there anyone have any idea what it might be.. ( i know without a picture it may be hard) Is there any information out there on Pests and Diseases that threaten Trichocereus (or Echinopsis, whatever) pachanois ??

I would say they are scale insects - what you see is a shell-like protective covering, they live under the shell and suck the juices. Spray the plant with white oil, otherwise they will spread all over the plant.
