gerbil Posted February 3, 2005 Have been wanting to understand plant breeding and plant genetics etc. for a while now, was curious if anyone here can recommend any good titles to start with? I guess i'm after more begginer titles if there is such a thing, alot seem to be quite full on, which isn't a bad thing as it'll take a while to fully understand the concepts anyway, i'm not looking for an overnight understanding, but anything a little less heady would be good. At the moment am looking around for Sewall Wright texts (which seem to be quite advanced), but any other suggestions from people in the know would be really appreciated. come to think of it, i should be looking into basic biology books for starters. oops think i just answered my own question lol Thanks! Hagakure Posted February 3, 2005 some uni textbooks are very good for genetics. i would definately recommend starting with basic biology. genetics is simple when you start getting into it but gets really really heavy.
