☽Ţ ҉ĥϋηϠ₡яღ☯ॐ€ðяئॐ♡Pϟiℓℴϟℴ Posted May 19, 2016 (edited) i need some sorta fukken riparium grip clip type things ,,,or something ... loom bands, aeroponic foam collars and suction cups only go so far eh? i know im on the right track with the net pot and zeolite but with only one on the go i think I may be punching above my weight .. maybe there's scope for some sort of add-on i can manufacture as a mini propagularium? also there's scope for a rebuild incorporating some soil with zeolite under that sand ... and having the water level follow the growth .. - or even above the sand with a nice layer of black sand as a hat to hold it all down ... then planted out. (which may mean re-accommodating the diggy fishies temporarily though) Edited May 19, 2016 by ☽Ţ ҉ĥϋηϠ₡яღ☯ॐ€ðяئॐ♡Pϟiℓℴϟℴ

☽Ţ ҉ĥϋηϠ₡яღ☯ॐ€ðяئॐ♡Pϟiℓℴϟℴ Posted May 23, 2016 (edited) Thanks SagiX it's fairly easy if you have a few key elements but some require a lot of light and others require a lot of CO2 so I'm trying to skate round that after giving up messing around with DIY CO2 things years ago and facing the fact i cant be fuct with proper CO2 set-ups prices so cheat with easy carbo liquid carbon but really the plants I am growing currently are very beginner level tbh .. (apparently even the mangroves) - it's whether I can give them enough light most grow slowly but if you want some anubias or java fern i can work on a few cuttings? give us a shout if you fancy some aquatics man.. , I wouldnt recommend shipping mangrove plants but there's various propagules on ebay if you want a link or few? Thanks BOS too , I can find a very good home for surplus mangroves here no problem at my fave aquatics monster and, not yet but id love to grow that grey mangrove avicennia marina.. been tryna aim india ways but no luck in the small web sifting that i could fit in so far , i thought black mangrove was quite the challenge sourcing until learning of the grey :3 oh yeah sorry i havent posted your seeds yet mate , will try to make sure it's dun soon just tryna damage manage at the mo and recoup with some SABby sanctuary i wish it was as easy to send stuffs as tapping a few keys to buy stuffs :] Edited May 23, 2016 by ☽Ţ ҉ĥϋηϠ₡яღ☯ॐ€ðяئॐ♡Pϟiℓℴϟℴ
☽Ţ ҉ĥϋηϠ₡яღ☯ॐ€ðяئॐ♡Pϟiℓℴϟℴ Posted May 23, 2016 (edited) but yeah i love the lessons from these particular teacher plants ... and having several on the go, is like running multiple lesson subjects simultaneously latest lesson being: ... don't pay £50 for a riparium planter from across the pond, get a shower caddy , toothbrush caddy and whatever else you can find for a couple of quid if it's clear plastic and has, holes and some suction cups to carry weights like shampoo bottles , apply mesh already procured way back ( for screening off bugs at my olde bag's conservatory ) and um ,... (mighty sounding voice) : "go forth and conquer ye boundaries of aqua!" Edited May 23, 2016 by ☽Ţ ҉ĥϋηϠ₡яღ☯ॐ€ðяئॐ♡Pϟiℓℴϟℴ

☽Ţ ҉ĥϋηϠ₡яღ☯ॐ€ðяئॐ♡Pϟiℓℴϟℴ Posted May 26, 2016 2nd Laguncularia in process of breaking out today... but ... Rhizophora mucronata arrived , and they sent 4 when i only bought 2 !! i dnno if that means some might not make it or if it means I have an extra 2 guaranteed but they felt a little "empty" and soft unlike the rhizophora mangles when they arrived ... finger's x'd eh because these are really long and just perfect for looks (extending my aquascape branches to the extreme) while they root , if they should feel inclined to do so on my watch.. theuserformallyknownasd00d Posted August 3, 2016 Here's my Barringtonia acutangula I recently purchased off of a member here. It seems to be enjoying it's new home under an LED and is just potted in a peat seed raising mix and perlite 50:50. Feeding it home made teas and enzymes and it's living life so far.
