Zen Peddler Posted August 19, 2014 Just mucking around with a small bag of excess straw spawned with half a cup of millet spawn. It went ok - Id wager that is above 100% bioefficiency:

Shrooman Posted August 20, 2014 Why millet for spawn? How do you find it compares to rye or wheat?
Zen Peddler Posted August 20, 2014 Hi - I just use millet mainly because Im used to it and can get it for very cheap. Its a pain with spawning outdoor beds though as even a tiny bit of birdseed attracts every rat in the southern hemisphere. Ive also used rye grass seed and similar when i can get that for very cheap as well.
