gtarman Posted September 7, 2013 LOL - they credited Isaac Newton with "inventing modern science". I was half-expecting them to say he invented gravity.
planthelper Posted September 7, 2013 I liked it how they mentioned Erasmus Darwin, the grand dad of Charles, because often, the success of a person has it's roots, with the grandparents, and not just mom and dad. grandparents, posess more wisdom and time, than the parents, who have to work all day, so they can provide. whitewind Posted September 7, 2013 I really hope my dad doesn't try to impart his wisdom too heavily on my daughter. Luckily it's just skype nowadays and me a single dad... Just surround them with intelligent people osmosis will do the rest. I'll check out the show we only have online tv here I refuse to have the idiot box in my house
planthelper Posted September 11, 2013 "the beauty of maps" probably only interesting for some of, the older members, but some people (me included) just go ape shit, regarding old books and maps. watching the past, we can understand the future. http://www.sbs.com.au/ondemand/video/11810371891/The-Beauty-Of-Maps-Medieval-Maps
