Guest ziebonka Posted January 5, 2002 I just realised that a few weeks ago my gnome 'pissy' took DXM then two days later 'pissy' took MDMA, I heard using DXM then another seratonin raising drug within 2 weeks could cause seratonin syndrome. eccles Posted January 5, 2002 Well... if you could give us a little more info... eg is 'pissy' made of concrete or plaster? If DXM does 'raise' serotonin (not sure what you mean by this exactly - does it increase the production?) then it should actually be balanced by taking MDMA, as MDMA causes serotonin depletion (it causes it to be released, and then on reuptake it is destroyed by MAO). the types of things that you have to worry about are drugs which: increase serotonin synthesis, decrese serotonin metabolism, increase serotonin release, inhibit serotonin uptake, cause nonspecific increase in serotonin activity, or that are: direct serotonin or dopamine agonists. Examples in all these categories can be found, along with some other good info at: http://www.uspharmacist.com/NewLook/Displa...cfm?item_num=94 I am not sure about quantities, but taking DXM and then LSD would be more likely to cause problems than DXM then MDMA, as I am sure MDMA does the opposite. (but not totally sure - someone prove me wrong?) but even that combination done once would probably not be too much of a worry. 'pissy' will be fine.
