migraineur Posted May 6, 2013 Does anyone here know if mimosa hostilis can handle low humidity? I live in a Mediterranean climate in Perth and I've hardened off other plants but I'm not sure if mimosa hostilis will. My plants are outgrowing their 2 litre bottle greenhouses so I need to come up with something fast.
poisonshroom Posted May 6, 2013 From what i understand M. hostilis is a dry climate species (certainly looks like it). Mine does well with minimal water and low humidity (higher than Perth though). Planting it in the ground or a big pot should help prevent too much water loss - the roots are quite large and deep.
