☽Ţ ҉ĥϋηϠ₡яღ☯ॐ€ðяئॐ♡Pϟiℓℴϟℴ Posted August 23, 2014 Any chance of seeds from this? I know it was in NZ (my dad grew it at one stage) can't for the life of me find it here now though . . . In my garden ATM - 8 strains of cigar tobacco sprouted - foxglove sprouted - anise sprouted - 3 trillion salvia cuttings potted! hmm to be honest ive never let it fruit long enough for seeds, however it does travel underground and appear in random places it's passiflora edulis , the most common hardiest passion flower ive ever known , it "appears" so many times that when i pull it up it always comes with roots.., must have given away a krillion of these "long range root divisions" over the years Im in old zealand so i kinda dont know if i can send you a live plantlet down to your countries restrictions... if any , whatever they are.. i dont mind mailing one but might be cheaper to get a pack of seeds on ebay ? or maybe grow one from supermarket fruit ? mine was originally a house plant for £1.50 ....in about 1998 that i put in the greenhouse and forgot. Optimystic Posted August 23, 2014 just FYI edulis isn't hardy for shit... but i've heard there are some hardy crosses Incarnata and caerulea are hardy... the fruits are shit on caerulea.. I planted them to block the shit from the neighbors septic spray ugh... they are pretty much a pretty butterfly haven... and they only come back stronger even after a really cold winter if you get seeds from a hardy one with tasty fruits i'd love some for sure its kinda rare actually most of the good ones are tropical.. i've been considering getting some of the named ones though I did clone a couple edulis over the winter and the caterpillars just tear them to shit :|
bogfrog Posted August 24, 2014 Not sure what species you were after Frozenthunderbolt, but I got a nice passiflora edulis from the warehouse for under ten bucks. I live in a pretty darn cold part of nz and it has proven to be exceptionally tough, far exceeding my expectations. I think it has only survived because I have kept it very dry over winter, and its in a pretty sheltered position. But yeah. Check out the warewhare mate.

FancyPants Posted September 1, 2014 wow I'd love the room for one of those rainforest boxes! Today I was feeling a bit rubbish so only really Seasol'd a bunch of plants I'd been meaning to do for a couple of weeks. I rearranged some little tikes in the greenhouse to adjust for the sunshine, the chives, oregano, and coriander seeds are finally sprouting from two weekends ago. More paps are starting to sprout after seed being accidentally thrown hither and thither. I moved some special little (hopefully female) seedlings outside for fresh air and moved the catha next to them. I noticed the one yage cutting that the rabbit got to is finally greening at some shoots, and the hostilis is doing the same. One of my lophs has recently developed a rusty scab that seems to be getting a bit bigger. I think it was after I dropped a few drops of undiluted marine phytoplankton (I know!) stuff into the pot (it's possible also that a drop landed on the head). It's been ages since I read about that problem, how can I help it? Also the trich-grafted loph is dry scaling. Both lophs are inside in the same position (next to a window that only gets about an hour direct sunlight per day, fortnightly watering, and with aircon heating on most nights).

☽Ţ ҉ĥϋηϠ₡яღ☯ॐ€ðяئॐ♡Pϟiℓℴϟℴ Posted September 11, 2014 (edited) today i rained and vented the rainforest plants for 2 hours or so and bought a regular caapi vine-let , to see if it is in any way whatsoever; distinguishable from the tunkunaka/s ... then prepped a little room for it ... I think I'm going to try it as a house plant first and keep the room spare in the rainforest box for just in case it realises its a uk winter outside later down the line Pissing into plants since learning to do so from SAB posters x3 (deflects any blame x] ) ,,,,, has developed into some fantastic growth on the brugmansias the tallest of which; is almost as tall as me! so far its only the brugs , datura and tobaccothat blatantly enjoy a whole blast of the pure... others enjoying it as a cordial flavouring in with their watering .... it hasn't forced my fat scop stump into puppaje like i had anticipated though.... i cleaned the magick waterfall box, clipped some roots, and pruned some greens ... aeroponic basil is so delish!I brought the Acacia simplicifolia and mimosa ophthalmocentra-s indoors (22C at night) from outdoors (16C at night the last 2 nights) checked the ulmmm er... i folia? and took some pics for scale and checked the net http://www.tacethno.com/all-ethnobotanicals/damiana-turnera-diffusa.html http://www.mixologynews.com.br/2012/el-agavero-licor-tipico-de-tequila/ hers a pic frm the net too with large and small leaves like its in some sort of transition and dividing its energies into newer smaller leaves , looks like the right plant to me , are there a few different damianas that do the same thing? now, a lot of info on the web says turneras ulmifolia and diffusa are synonymous but perhaps this is not the case ... after reading this http://www.backyardnature.net/yucatan/turnera.htm im guessing this is the smaller leaf one that is the original damiana? ok this definitely helps toward IDing it is ulmifolia Edited September 15, 2014 by ☽Ţ ҉ĥϋηϠ₡яღ☯ॐ€ðяئॐ♡Pϟiℓℴϟℴ

FancyPants Posted September 18, 2014 Finally got some decent piccies to post. Although these are probably only half of what we've got. Today I repotted an indian tomato, a. colubrina, and d. illinoiensis which were both finally reshooting. Potted some new salvia splendens (burgundy and pink varieties). I got a couple of carnivorous plants off ebay the other day, never had them before so could only pot the sundew into a little ceramic dish with stones covered with a heap of waterlogged sphagnum sprinkled with a little seed raising mix. I really hope it goes ok. Got a beautiful new loph-on-trich in the post too, but can't pot her til tomorrow. The loph I was having trouble with I'm sure was overwatered so I unpotted it and left it to dry for a week before I repotted in a better way than previously. Other little indian tomatoes seem to be thriving after repotting with lining pots with sphagnum then a cacti/seedling/perlite mix, then more sphag then covered with pebbles. Have to keep those little guys/gals away from the rabbit and cats! I'm so proud of how the garden's flourishing The vibe outside now feels like a lovely place rather than just another suburban sterile shithole. It's so cool having our own herbs as well, mint, poppy, oregano, catmint; and coriander, thyme, and chamomile seedlings... Does this monstrose look like it's about to crest?
