At the moment, it clearly is Trichocereus/Helianthocereus Poco. I have a huge one and with the pot, its so heavy i can hardly move it. And the countless spines are extremely dangerous. I already cringe when i think about taking it outside next summer. :-(

on my island they make fences out of the big columnar cacti. they use two branches cut off........ one in the form of a 'Y' and the other in the form of a hook

...... like this here http://www.bandabou.info/images/chi%20ku%20cha.jpg if you can handle your chi ku cha with one hand and the hold the pot with the other..... or use one of these to avoid damaging your cactus http://www.gamma.com/211083/211555/315292/417212/steekwagen_751087_0.jpg?view=Standard&imageManipulation=true&maintainRatio=true&pixelsY=357&pixelsX=357
