Just clicked through to his site... I've read that sort of ranting before. Is it schizophrenia?

His writings have an unmistakable flavour but, like when you walk past an Indian grocery and get a whiff of a familiar spice that you can't quite place, I can't place his affliction.

I can feel his mind working these endless loops, the frustration in having the ultimate answer that no one else will understand no matter how many words you use to try and get it out.

Yes, Gene Ray has a few loose.

Basically, what's going on in his mind is analogous to this sort of thing:

where he thinks that he has proof of water running uphill, of perpetual motion, and of free energy. Many people have tried to explain that the 'timecube' stuff is hokum, but all that Ray and his acolytes say is that the scientific world can't "see" what's "obvious".

Ray has been the butt of much humour and incredulity, but really he probably deserves sympathy - exactly as you indicate. He's a very clear example of a brain burp of major proportion.
