woof woof woof Posted May 2, 2005 Balché - http://www.rngr.net/Publications/ttsm/Fold...03-15.1541/file very interesting - bummer, it seems to need atleast double the percipitation we have here on the island. http://www.pan-uk.org/pestnews/Actives/rotenone.htm ( very elaborate on the active ingredient. ) Heh he - also used as an insecticide. Torsten Posted May 2, 2005 are you sure rotenone is the active constituent of balche?
woof woof woof Posted May 2, 2005 according to the article of the 1st link given.... yes ,.. unless I did not read properly! Uhhh Indeed - it mentions that there is a toxic alkaloid ROTENONE (lol ROTTEN-ONE) - but does not attribute the hallucinogenic properties to rotenone - just says that it is there. [ 02. woof woof woof Posted May 2, 2005 C. Ratsch did Balche research?! How do we get him to comment on this Or is it in his pscyhotropic bible?!
Torsten Posted May 2, 2005 I'll have a look next week if no one else does in the meantime. The problem with rotenone is that it is actually quite nasty for humans. Something to do with triggering early parkinsonism or somethign like that which involves dopamine.
