id this cacti or succulent

Question

hi all had this plant for about 3 or 4 years now and just remembered we had it. I had to pull it out from under a huge bush that nearly killed it

as you can see this first one looks the healthiest

this second one looks pritty sad but has alot on new growth coming out of the bottom of the dead stuff

an id on this would be very great

an Epiphylum species , there are loads of hybrids , they like a bit of shade as they grow as epiphytes in boughs of trees...

It will only fruit if its pollinated, they're actually really tasty fruits.

The flower is awesome, especially if it's red like my plant

great thanks guys i hope it flowrs soon mabye i should give it a bit of tlc for a while and see what happens

A bit more shade, a bit more water and a bit more leaf mulch for those types compared to regular caacti.
