I was just wondering where the best accommodation is for EGA this year? I was thinking somewhere cheap, safe and within walking distance to the Uni.

Any help would be appreciated as I don't know Melbourne that well.

I have looked up several. They are all fairly pricey.

I have stayed at the Clocktower on Lygon before and it was one of the dodgiest places I have ever stayed. I was just trying to get some ideas from people that had been before.

What's cheap?

I think the Princes Park Motor Inn has rooms for about $130/night. It's up the road a bit, but the tram will take you directly there within 5-10 mins. Otherwise something closer like Ibis will be like $200+..

Thanks for the ideas guys. I like to have somewhere to stay by myself where I can operate my Vapouriser. Looks like I'll go for one of the places around $130 a night.
