myco Posted July 2, 2010 anyone know wat the hell these are found em on a walk yesterday never seen em before temperate region of western australia i wont go to much into explaining em the picks say it all but these are the main features red gills (they look more orange in the pictures but looked very red to me) yellowish stems and flesh i didnt bother taking a print or anythin anyway check em out Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Tryp Posted July 2, 2010 Don't know quite how much i can help, but; The orangey-reddness of the top is common amoung gymnos, but the shape is out due to the nipple at the top. I don't know what to make of the beautiful orange of the gills. clearly not a sub. Doesn't look active, but IMO verrrrry beautiful. I know of a very red species but i can't remember the name.... starts with a B. im at a loss here. eitherway, i'd just be happy having found such a gorgeous fungi Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
