Bread Filter Posted June 23, 2010 I just saw this interesting Loph on Ebay Ebay Button Cactus Just wondering if the heads near the 5c piece are from the base of the big one or separate Cacti altogether? I don't know how to steal the photo from Ebay so I can't post it here.
zelly Posted June 23, 2010 from the base of the big one. That's the nature on how this form grows.
paradox Posted June 23, 2010 it's just a loph willi caespitosa, not really any more rare in oz than regular willi, maybe even more common, in my experience anyhow..
kindness Posted June 23, 2010 I wasn't aware that grafting changed loph's genetics either. hmmm
Bread Filter Posted June 23, 2010 from the base of the big one. That's the nature on how this form grows. Wow. I didn't realise they could grow that far out. Thanks for that.
kindness Posted June 23, 2010 (edited) looks to me like it has had sections removed to create more plants. bit hard to tell without actually sighting the plant but it certainly looks like at least another button the size of the biggest one in the photo has been taken from the section that has just small ones. I could be wrong though? That is a pretty fullon price for a cactus. Anyone want to offer me $100 for a caepistosa? lol Edited June 23, 2010 by meanies
