A photo taken in San Jose Del Pacifico, Oaxada, Mexico - dont waste your time at Huatla de jim. - the real mushroom town is San Jose Del Pacifico - a town steaped in Zapotec history and some very strange spiritual rituals.

On Aug 10 every year (which happens to be my birthday) they have a festival where the traditional mushroom ceremony is conducted for the benefit of tourists. Deep in the beech forest are three carved old trees with faces in them. Truly trippy. And for those inclinde you can get four Oounces for $10 aus.
