Transplant Question

Recommended Posts

Just wondering how often i should water my cacti after transplanting and how much sun is ideal? It's been about a week since transplant and i've only given them about 1tsp worm juice..about 3-4 hours of direct sun per day.

also, can I expect to germinate cacti seed in Autumn? or wait for spring?

cheers!

put those plants against a north facing fence in winter, and give them as much sun as possible, particularly if they have been transplanted recently...water them thoroughly and let them dry out...in Sydney in winter the watering regime is minimal due to the average rain falls being quite steady...don't feed them anything just water when they are fully dried out, best still don't water and look at BOM to see if any rain is coming and wait for that instead.

All my cacti are in completely dried out soil at the moment, I mean they are sitting in bricks of dry soil literally, I'm waiting for the rains to come, they can handle being dry long time in Sydney winter.

pics...?
