0 Evil Genius Posted January 26, 2010 Hi Rogdog, this could be some Mycena sp. I´ll have a closer look at it tomorrow. It´s late around here. bye Eg
0 rogdog Posted January 26, 2010 Thanks for the quick ID, EG. They do look like Mycena, and unfortunately I was printing onto white printer paper doh! Quicky changed to to tin foil, so I hope to still catch something
0 Evil Genius Posted January 27, 2010 Which color is the print, Rogdog? bye Eg
0 naja naja Posted January 27, 2010 print on glass, move to watever colour paper u want then. ;)
0 rogdog Posted January 27, 2010 Glass ehh? now that is a brilliant idea. I didn't manage to catch any spores, maybe they were white, and I lost them on the white paper.
0 Evil Genius Posted January 27, 2010 A good idea is to make prints on petri dishes. You can close them and wrap them in aluminium foil. Thats what i do when i want to keep them. bye Eg
0 mutant Posted January 27, 2010 (edited) Looks like it could be some half-dried small Coprinus / Coprinellus sp. Hard to tell in this state. Edited January 27, 2010 by mutant
0 rogdog Posted January 28, 2010 Thanks for all the info, I am learning heaps. Two new specimens today. I don't have any petrie dishes about so I used a mirror. Yes I did flip the caps over to catch the prints
0 Evil Genius Posted January 28, 2010 Mutant, you could be right there. My key led to Coprinus but i wasnt sure as they looked so crispy.
