Freaky Chicken Posted January 25, 2010 I found these growing in cow manure up here in Townsville. I'm not sure what they are. If anyone can help that would be great. Sorry the pics are a bit fuzzy!
0 JDanger Posted January 25, 2010 Doesn't look like much blue staining is going on there. Non-active Panaeolus spp. would be my largely uneducated guess.
0 Distracted Posted January 25, 2010 Pretty sure they're non active... Don't eat them

0 Freaky Chicken Posted January 25, 2010 Thanks for the help. I'm doing a flora survey and I'm a lot better identifying plants than fungi.
0 paradox Posted January 25, 2010 yeah looks like a non active panaeolus. one of the pan cyan lookalikes that often grow alongside. they are a good sign that pan cyans could be found in the area. if it's the sp. i think it might be, they seem to be able to handle or favor a little dryer conditions than P.cyanescens & often peek a little earlier too
0 mutant Posted January 27, 2010 yep, I agree, some Panaeollus.
