naja naja Posted November 16, 2009 (edited) Be looking skywards tomorrow night for the leonid meteor shower, however it may become a storm for minutes at a time over the course of the night as several debris trails left from Tempel-Tuttle comet intersect earths orbit. For us west Aussies it may be cut short by dawn, so keep watching for the few hours leading up till dawn. Also any time of the night during 17th is increased chance of high meteor rates upto 1300 meteors per hour. Sit back and enjoy the sky show. naja naja Posted November 16, 2009 (edited) Yes, even W.A. to a large extent, but might still be lucky enough. Estimates put likely hood of increased activity all night, but most likely at 2100-2200 UT http://www.spaceweather.com/ http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2009/10...leonids2009.htm Edited November 16, 2009 by naja naja
